In my view... here are the reasons why the Spurs currently find themselves out of sync. In order of priority.

    1. TP's heel injury (self explanatory - the Spurs' one-man fast break seems to be at about 70% right now)

    2. Barry's absence (rarely doubled off of - gets the offense flowing when stagnant; the Spurs are 4 and 8 without Barry).

    3. Poor defensive execution. The Spurs have another 2 gears to turn on this one.

    4. Ginobili's finger injury (though its effects seem to be wearing off).

    5. Bowen's offensive funk (hopefully he is able to turn this one around).

    6. Diminished execution from our two-headed center.

I also believe that the health issues aside these are all very fixable problems - hopefully it happens during this road trip.

    SPAM Baby!

    The positives:

    1. The emergence of Ime Udoka (this guy is Spurs material).

    2. Duncan seems to be more focused on both ends of the floor.

eh, I thought there was some positives to take tonight.

They out rebounded Utah wich is huge.

I think the defense at long periods in the second and 4th quarters was very good.

Especially one play where Bowen had Williams at the top of the key, funneled him to the right, pointed for help, duncan came, helped and a turnover ensued.

    It was classic Spurs defense.

    Its coming.

Its just gonna take a bit to kick in.

    The Spurs will come around.

Anyone watching N.O. tonight saw that they crushed Denver.

There are signs. There will be a return to Spurs basketball. The beards are being grown and March is approaching. Have faith. SPAM.

At least the Spurs battled tonight and didn't just stink up the place like they did against the Hornets.

It's still early in the season.

I'm only a little worried because the Spurs haven't shown large glimpses of themselves yet, other than the Laker game.

Anyway, they have it. All they have to do is start feeling good after a couple of wins, and their perimeter shot will return, so that we can function with Tim Manu and a 70 percent Parker.

If Finley, Bonner and Bowen start to show up again on the perimeter, we'll be fine.
