Yeah. It's a pity the '06 run ended so badly. Bravatars 24/7 wouldn't have been so bad. Since the Spurs lost that year it kind of killed the mojo a little bit.
Personally I think the bravatars need to come out right after the season to a) celebrate a championship or b) console the poor Spurs fans after a disappointing finish. It's basically a no lose option at that point.
