I'm hearing Giuliani may endorse and even campaign on behalf of McCain as early as tomorrow.

Next will be Huckabee supporting McCain.

Break out the butter 'cause Romney's toast.

I don't know, but McCain kinda scares me. I wonder if he still dreams of those bamboo nights?

BIG victory for McCain tonight, no matter how he tried to downplay it by saying that he wouldn't brag and that Romney shouldn't be discouraged....

That victory will be enhanced when the reported endorsement comes before the debate tomorrow in Cali from Giuliani.

This thing is so close to being a done deal...

I still think Romney has a chance, but he has to pick Huckabee as his running-mate...tonight anyway, it's sure looking like a McCain/Giuliani ticket is a real possibility...

Too like-minded to make sense for a party ticket. I think a McCain/Huckabee ticket is more likely to keep the evangelical socially conservative base.

But I'm not putting that for my prediction of his running mate either...

At this point I'm not sure.

Oh, and on Romney....he's always going to have a chance because he's got enough money.

But, I think if McCain receives the boost out of this win that he's likely to see and takes care of California and the northeastern states while Huckabee takes care of the southern states, it'll be hard for Romney to justify continuing on.

It will be interesting to see Romney's strategy going forward. Does he try to outspend McCain in the northeastern states or does he go after Huckabee in the south?

I concur. I see a McCain/Huckabee vs Romney debate and I now think Huckabee could be a VP candidate Rudy lands a nice role in a MCCain administration. Romney has the $$ to keep going and will make it very interesting.

Clinton or Obama if you want the federal government to speak with an urbane agnostic voice when it tells you to bend over or McCain/Huckabee if you want a little rustic evangelical twang.

I'm bummed Rudy bailed, but he ran a totally ty campaign and it seemed his heart wasn't really in it...

So much for the desperate for power tyrant in the making bull .

Eh...McCain, I still don't think he's all there. He stances are often difficult to discern...I think he genuinely is the guy just happy to be a politician that he seems to be.

I think Guiliani was a much better and more capable candidate and I'm not happy about the thinning of the herd. It's beginning to look like another really ty election in 08.

Why Rudy put all his eggs in Florida is beyond me. Guess
he thought all those NY retirees would carry the day.
He thought wrong. He may have believed the MSM
press too much when they were touting him as the
    big leader in the race.

But I still think Romney will give McCain a close race,
except maybe in California. But folks are going to
start looking at all the candidates closer from now on
    out.

I cant see any of the candidates being picked as VP.

Giuliani's strategy was crafted when he was the front runner. If he really believed that was a viable strategy he had no business running for president.
