    Pro basketball: Road trip remainder -- easy or hard?
    Staff report

    When the Spurs resume their rodeo road trip Tuesday, things could get easier ... or harder. Take a look.

    @Pacers, Tuesday

    Easy? Jermaine O'Neal is out with a left knee injury.

    Or hard? Without O'Neal, Indiana has defeated the Mavericks, Blazers and Nuggets.

    @Wizards, Wednesday

    Easy? Gilbert Arenas is still recovering from left knee surgery.

    Or hard? The Wizards are 3-5 with Arenas and, entering Friday, 21-15 without him.

    @Knicks, Feb. 8

    Easy? The Knicks are in last place in the Atlantic Division.

    Or hard? New York lost by only four at the AT&T Center earlier this season.

    @Celtics, Feb. 10

    Easy? Kevin Garnett is out with a strained abdominal muscle.

    Or hard? Boston beat the Mavericks on Thursday without him.

    @Raptors, Feb. 11

    Easy? T.J. Ford is still out with a left arm stinger.

    Or hard? Replacement Jose Calderon could be better than Ford.

    @Cavaliers, Feb. 13

    Easy? A sprained right ankle kept LeBron James out Thursday.

    Or hard? There's plenty of time for James to heal before this game.

    As this season has progressed, I would say that no game will be easy. We are struggling with injuries and everyone brings their A game against us as defending champs. Whether the game is easy or hard, I just want the Spurs to play the full 48 and to find the consistency that they will need to make their playoff push.

    With the way this team has been playing, I'd be ecstatic if the Spurs were able to split those last six games.

    As long as the Spurs don't demonstrate another "pathetic performance" in Indy, they might kick-start a good winning streak. I say they go 5-1

    I'm hoping it's 5-1. But realistically, .500 would be good.
