Allred is half deaf!!!
How could he not be a crowd favorite for a gimmick! (*cough* Nate Robinson robbing Iguodala of the SD compe ion because he's a midget *cough*)
If Ian Mahinmi does not make the NBADL All-Star game I am going to be upset. The following link does not show him tops in PRA for centers as Allred (IDA) and Alexander (SIF) gets the nod. Nor does it have him in the next 2 which are Sene (SEA) and Fesenko (UTA).
Surprise, surprise the Toros Keith Langford leads ALL guard candidates in PRA.

Maybe we voted enough to get Ian in on fan votes. I sure thought he would be a lock.

Mahinmi isn't on this list because he wasn't a D-League player when the article has been written (February 1st), he was with Spurs.
Mahinmi PRA is 27.9, he is the second center just behind lance Alfred.
D-league allstars will be announced tomorrow. I will be really surprised if Mahinmi isn't one of them.

Mahinmi and Langford are D-League all-stars.
I was just thinking...
Who is the most well-known (best player?) to come out of the D-league into the NBA succesfully?
Mikki Moore was their poster child until Jamario Moon started dunking on people.
Nice. Props to Mahinmi and Langford. Time for Mahinmi to take home that All-Star game MVP trophy.
P.S.
Jeremy Richardson a D-League All-Star, too.
P.P.S.
How the is Jelani McCoy a D-League All-Star? He's averaging 8 and 5 this season.
Who votes for the D-league all-stars?

It looks like that the D-League will have a slam dunk contest and a 3 point contest. Participant will be known tomorrow. It could be fun to see Mahinmi in the slam dunk contest.
How in the does Colorado 14ers get FOUR players on the team? They aren't even leading their division and got NO call-ups this season!!!!!!!!
Also, Jeremy Richardson has been gone from the dleague since December...how does he make the squad?![]()
Ian had early foul trouble but he's getting alot of blocks against Dakota.
Toros came back from about 18 down to tie the game with 5 minutes left.
Squeaky is the hero so far.
Is Mahinmi just getting a lot of blocks or is closing down the paint, rotating, covering his man and picking up penetrators?
They are running right at him and he's blocking the drivers.
105-105 with 34.5 left
Williams with a 15 footer off a broken play.
107-105 Toros with 25.2 left.
Without watching a game, seems like since he came back down he's focusing more on D, and his O is falling down.
Ian with another block.
Squeaky fouled, hits 1 of 2.
108-105 19.5 left.

Squeaky gets the rebound off the Wiz 3pt attempt and is fouled with 3 seconds left.
Misses first.
TO Wiz.
110-107
Squeaky makes second.
Toros win 111-107!
Ian has 4 blocks recorded. I he got believe two of them while he had five fouls.
Langford scored 19 in the second half after being held to 7 in the first.
Squeaky was perfect from the floor when Dakota dared him to shoot. He also shut down Blake Ahearn from the field in the fourth after Ahearn went for 36 in the first three quarters, lighting up whomever was on him. Squeaky also got five big rebounds and fronted the 6'8" Will Frisby to prevent a tying basket.
Who is 'squeaky'?
Carldell "Squeaky" Johnson : 5'10" backup point guard.
It's a big win for Toros after three recent losses against Tulsa.
Mahinmi seems to be in a small slump since he come back from Spurs. He even misses some FTs while he was great at that this year. I won't draw conclusions on three games but it will be interesting to see if it will continue. Next Toros game against Vipers should be an easy one for Mahinmi.
Dakota has some really good frontline defenders in Lyde, Benson and Frisby and they were packing the lane most of the night to thwart Ian and Keith. The Toros got back into the game with transition baskets by Reed and some outside shots by Marcus Williams and Squeaky that opened things for Mahinmi and especially Langford in the second half. The Toros are probably lucky Carlos Powell went down with a foot injury, but it was still a good comeback.
