It's true. Spurs have a history of not repeating and history ironically enough has a history of repeating itself. The West just got a lot bigger and the Spurs are going to fold like usual.
Is somebody keeping a list of all the people who have given up on the Spurs, so that they can be denied celebrations come playoffs.

I am more worrying abt Spurs playing to their potential than these trades. I believe that Spurs will be champion this year if they play to their potential.
I do not think Suns-Heat trade is going to improve Suns...This does not make sense at all..They are done for next few years with Shaq's fat contract. Honestly, no sun can guard TP if Marion leaves.

Phoenix is showing desperation with this one. Shaq will screw up their entire offense, and since it takes him like half the shot clock to get back on defense (when healthy), he won't be too terribly much help there. They know they need someone to guard Tim one on one, so they are reaching. They'll end up missing Marions scrappiness and timely game.
The heat will be much improved though.
Really??? Does anyone, I mean ANYONE believe that this is going to make the suns better? Gasol, yes, I can see that being a formidable trade, but I think PHX drops like a stone if this trade goes through. Nash is great, and Stoudamire (amare) is a beast, so they should still finish with the 3rd-5th seed, but this is a horrible move for PHX.

Why in the would Phoenix take on a huge contract of a guy that can hardly stay off of IR any more? And when he can, he is slow and plodding and wears his ass out quick.
Makes no sense. Can you just see Shaq trying to run up and down the court with the game the Suns play? Or will they just play 4 on 5 on their offensive end and let Shaq rest at the other end under the defensive basket? Or will they make the rest of the players change their game, to give Shaq 8 seconds to get down the court on offense, so they can toss it into him and he can attempt a dunk?
Suns will go from "fun to watch" to "funny to watch".

Phoenix getting Shaq is a joke. It'll be a trainwreck. Shaq will get hurt and all Phoenix will have to show for this trade is losing Marion.
As for Pau Gasol going to the Lakers, they will be better, but the Spurs can handle it.
