I guess it's good news that Parker could return to action in less than two weeks. This is the first time Pop has given it any type of time table."I'm hoping he can return after the All-Star break," Popovich said. "We'll see how quickly he can progress."
Although, I kinda wish the Spurs would give him more time off. If he comes back for the first game after the All-Star game, he will have had three weeks to rest the ankle. That doesn't really sound like enough time to fully recover from even a moderate ankle injury.
The worst scenario is Pop brings him back too soon. I'd rather Pop bring him back a week or two too late than too soon. I like the idea of keeping him out a minimum of one month and having his earliest return date be Feb. 28 against the Mavs.
The Spurs ain't winning no championship with that hobbled version of Parker we saw for six weeks.
