If Elson is traded and no center come back in the trade. Signing PJ Brown makes a lot of sense.
A Stoudamire/Barry/Bowen/Horry/Brown lineup could maybe be the oldest lineup ever put on a basketball court.![]()
his representative said last month that for the time being, Brown is content being out of basketball and not trying to return.
"I don't think it's something that he is looking to do," Mark Bartelstein said by phone. "There are a bunch of people inquiring about him, but there is nothing (in terms of his interest) right now."
Have/should the Spurs give him a call after the recent trades ?
First, it depends on his shape and his abilities to get back on rythm quickly.
Then, if able to play, he could bring smart, inside defense and rebounding in the upcoming playoff campain.
Problem is you have to get one roster's spot available for him.
So, the only opportunity for Spurs to get him would implies that they'd had already made a trade where they would land one more player than they would get.
If they can get Miller for example for 2 spurs players.
Miller + Brown would be interesting and not long term compromising acquisitions that would be instant contributors.
Ok,
that makes a lot of "if" and "then"...

If the Spurs were to strike out on Udonis Haslem, I would say try and turn a Elson Barry and whatever for Mike Miller, then go and try and sign PJ Brown.
Pop would have to fly to, wherever he is to convince him, but that would be a good plan B in retaliation to the Suns and Lakers.
No thats Splitter next year.
Splitter aint comin this year and I'd like to win again this year.
Wouldn't you?
PJ Brown >>>>>>>> Elson, Bonner
T Park, it's bad enough you have weak takes, but what's with the gay pics on every post? Are you a 12-year-old girl?
PJ Brown is done.
Pass on PJ Brown.
Anyone whose sat out the whole year, cannot be counted on for stretch-drive or playoff contributions. Plus his head isn't in basketball. Sounds like he's mentally and physically retired. Good luck to him.
I'm sorry. I like Bonner. yeah I know awful defense only hustle he's young and needs experience but I have a lot of patienceI'd like to win again this year, too.
so many trade's threads are the panic button?![]()
Whats with a white bread esque stooge doing with "lil weezy" in his sig.
No, the two chicks are hot and I like em.
DOn't like it?

Bonner is not the player we thought he would develop into. Hes mid 20s, hes close to being what he is, a decent shooting big man who can rebound once in a while but is so horrid on defense that he will never fit in.
Hes expendable and not worthy of turning trades down for.
You just described Danny Ferry's stint with the Spurs, except Bonner is younger.
Danny Ferry put out a better effort on the defensive end.
Plus Bonner isn't very smart bball IQ wise. Ferry was very smart.
Effort and basketball IQ?
That's what commentators always praise white players for possessing.
He's "heady".
what's your problem dude?![]()
IQ's white players ...12 years old girl...
don't discriminate on the grounds of age, sex, race or religion on ST.
I call 'em like I see 'em.
T Park is a joker. And so are you if you defend his neo-fascist points of view.
You can't bash Bonner if your were a big Ferry fan.
And I still don't know why he has pictures of teenage girls on every post.
I would sign him if he wanted to play. I'm sure the market for him shrank a little bit but I wouldn't be surprised to see him sign with someone after the trade deadline.

It's not in the agent's interest to say PJ is desperatly looking for a return i f he ever is.
Just for 3 months. I don't see any problem with that.
WTF are you talking about.
I said his IQ is LOW.
Especially on the defensive end.
Buy a clue troll.
I don't see how an article that starts out about how this guy doesn't want to play ball anymore is any indication that he's on the market.
Grasping at straws, people.
T Park is heady.
PJ Brown is done.
Try again.
Spurs had interest in PJ Brown before. It's not like he'd be asked to start, but rather be the 4th big, play about 10 to 12 minutes a game, and give TD a spell guarding Shaq (might as well state it).
Couldn't be worse than Elson at this point.
