McCain vs. Obama
Republican Mitt Romney will suspend his campaign for the presidential nomination, sources tell CNN.
Romney is smarter than he appears. Good move.
Go play with your money.
With your campaign dead, now your boys don't have to defer their military service anymore.I look forward to their enlistment announcements in the coming days.

He actually looked like he was going to cry at one point. I didn't think he had it in him. Well that settles the Republican candidacy. The Democrat race is going to drag on forever. Sometimes I think that we're all gonna have major voter fatigue by the time November comes along.
And then there were none..Nice job Rove that sustained conservative majority plan worked out well...How did the in your face brand of politics serve you conservatives?
ron paul is still in.......
Rather well if you consider they had the POTUS and majority in both Houses of Congress.
Thats actually impressive, if you think about it. But certainly unsustainable, especially with the hack-job they did while in total power.
The republican party is a mess.
Suprising move to say the least, but I completely understand his logic....
It seems as if the Democratic race will go on for quite a bit longer, possibly to the convention. That means the winning candidate will likely have only 8 weeks to campaign nationally. Not only that, but as the race continues to tighten I would expect a continuation of some of the negative campaigning between the two.
Conversely, Romney dropping out virtually assures McCain the nomination so that he can make peace with conservatives and still have time to run a national campaign before the opponent is even selected. Also, Romney leaving basically eliminates most of the negative campaigning, as I think McCain and Huckabee (and Paul) will run a more civil race to get the nomination.
I feel bad for Romney supporters, but this works out best for the party faithfuls in a general election.
And yet, the unpopular Republican Party's President has a more favorable rating than the Democratic controlled congress.
It wouldn't surprise me one bit to see the directionless, Dems waste another golden opportunity to put one of their own into the White House.
Overall the Democrats running are without a moral compass (status quo for them), totally lacking in moral sensibility. Unfortunately for them, they're a bit ahead of the majority in this Country being so. Give the Country another decade or so and the Dems will have a greased pathway to the WH.
McCain, Hillary or Obama? Wow! To paraphrase an ancient Chinese proverb; "We are screwed".
Bloomberg anyone?
Oh, and that was a good move by Romney, Huckabee should follow suit and let the big boys (and girls) finish this.
....that's politico speak for 'they listen to their cons uents"....Overall the Democrats running are without a moral compass (status quo for them), totally lacking in moral sensibility.
He gave his best speech ever. Powerful words. He'll be back.
Oh, brother-- if he stayed in the race, it would give Obama or Clinton a better chance of winning and that would be aiding a surrender to the terrorists!
Is this actually the Republican strategy AGAIN four years later?
Romney will run again. Guaranteed.
Did I miss the announcement that Romney's wealthy, military-age, qualified sons, now free of serving America by pimping their Papa, have signed up for Iraq? Please hurry, I'm holding my breath.
Riiiiiight.
Because between the recession we're in, the Iraq war, Afghanistan, housing crunch, inflating debt and the inevitable crash of the US Dollar we should totally be concerned with moral issues like abortion, same sex marriage and religion in schools.

Are Republicans going to run on social or domestic issues like abortion, health care, or same sex marriage?
Yes of course they're going to run on strong national defense.
