deep, man.
..........and america becomes a better place to live OVERNIGHT.
I love living in the USA.
You really want to know how much you love the country.
I will tell you something, live outside of it, in some God
forsaken country that has existed from time immoral and
come back here and see the Stars and Stripes and you
really do want to kiss the ground you sit foot on. It makes
you feel like a million dollars.
Hey one of the things I remember, silly I know, but
having lettuce and tomatoes at the same time. Not possible
in come countries. I know, I lived there.
I concur. :TU
America is already a great place to live in and . . .
. . . America ain't subsidizing except it's own people.
What a ing moronic concept . . .
Smeagol, you should see some of the agreements this
country has signed. Unless things have changed drastically,
we supported NATO about 75 percent at one time.
I am not sure how much our foreign aid is at this time,
it has decreased sharply in the past few years, but
the UN is still supported, the last I looked, at about
25 percent. The rest of the world picks up, supposedly,
75 percent. Except, most don't really pay anything,
just pledge it. Many countries are so damn deadbeat
they don't even pay their rent or utilities.
What a ing moronic post.

The United States is the single largest donor of foreign economic aidU.S. official development assistance (ODA) in 2005 was $28 billion, the largest of all official donations by an individual country.
One has have to lie to make the US the "largest" donor.
normalize the measure as %age of GDP. In 2006, USA was only 20th+ in Official Development Assistance.
http://www.globalissues.org/TradeRelated/Debt/USAid.asp
There are certainly other ways to slice and dice, different types of assistance, but as long as it's based on %age of GDP, the USA is NEVER first, and most often not in the
top10. Been like that for decades, and I don't expect it to change, ever.
And of course, the USA neutralizes much of its foreign aid by subsidizing its agricultural exports, lowering the world prices in commodities, impoverishing commodi es farmers across the planet, while erecting barriers and tariffs to imports of commodities from poor countries. Like the Marshall Plan, foreign aid is basically giving away money so the foreigners can buy from US corps, NOT to help the foreigners.
There are 100s of millions of people, in industrial countries and non-industrial countries, who are perfectly happy where they are, living in foreign countries, and wouldn't immigrate to USA, ever. Likewise there are 100s of 1000s, even millions of Americans who live happily in foreign countries.
Ignorant, flag-waving, flag-wearing chauvinists among the rabble/sheeple/bubbas who insist on shouting out that America is #1, even when nobody cares or is listening, usually have penis size problems.

Oh Boufon, always so cheery and happy. Do you wake up in the morning and say to yourself, "My life sucks."
ETC. ETC. ETC....
Blaaa...blaa..bla.
That is the monies contributed by the governments alone. It simply means that 19 other governments steal more of their taxpayers GDP for others.
If you combine the charitable contribution of the people of the different nations, the USA comes out as number one! We are the most charitable by choice!
agreed.
I agreed 100% with Ron Paul on this subject.
Time for Israel and other countries to "grow up"
Time to spend our money on stuff here at home or GASP, actually let us keep it!!
Yeah, poor US of A! The world always taking advantage of America! Give me a ing break . . .
Dude, NATO served America's purposes in the cold war. What did you expect? Leave Europe for the commies to grab?Unless things have changed drastically,
we supported NATO about 75 percent at one time.
That is becasue $300MM people enjoy 25% of the the World's GDP.I am not sure how much our foreign aid is at this time,
it has decreased sharply in the past few years, but
the UN is still supported, the last I looked, at about
25 percent.
Dumbass, it's related with how much you produce, i.e., how rich you are.
Again, America subsidizes except it's own people.
Tell me how much iis $28B of America's GDP.
Go, study, and get back to me, jr.
This is precisely why the le of this topic is wrong.
True, but it is unrelated to the topic being discussed. If you combine the charitable contribution of the people of the different nations, the USA comes out as number one! We are the most charitable by choice!
Try again.
Damn for someone who lived in New York for some
years, how come, all of a sudden you are pissed at the
U.S. I thought you wife made a nice living when you
were here. What's wrong they wont let you come back?
Why do you conclude I'm pissed off at the US? What pisses me off is some Americans misrepresenting issues and passing them as facts, such as that the US subsidizes the world.
I'm simply calling a spade a spade.
I have to agree with boutons on this one![]()
