We must stop the unfair treatment of the New England Patriots
    By MJD

"All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing."

    - Edmund Burke

And so I ask you, good men of the world, to not stand idly by while evil prevails. A great injustice has been foisted upon the public, and if good men do not act, evil men will succeed with evil deeds, and we will all suffer.

So please, take action now, and sign this pe ion demanding that the NFL investigate the final 100 seconds of Super Bowl XLII (via Kissing Suzy Kolber), where the noble and good New England Patriots were screwed over by the vile NFL.

This actually exists. I'm not making this up. I couldn't make this up, because I have a tiny shred of a belief that humanity is not so far gone that any group of people out there could believe that the Patriots actually deserved to win Super Bowl XLII.

The people who have created and signed the pe ion appear to be serious. Fans of the New England Patriots, who have won 3 of the last 7 Super Bowls, who won 18 straight games, and who were the beneficiaries of the "tuck rule" play, actually believe that they were conspired against. If you are one of the people who created or signed this pe ion, please, I beg of you, immediately seek out a mental health professional. This might help.

As of right now, there are 1,454 signatures, which means that there are at least 1,454 Patriots fans in the world who are borderline delusional, and have major problems grasping reality. Or at least, 1,454, minus the number of people who saw this on KSK, and then began to sign the pe ion in a less-than-serious and often more-than-profane manner.

they are so ing re ed. they are talking about the clock being ed up, when in fact, the Giants got screwed over in the first half, when Tom Brady fumbled, they should have stopped the clock when the play was dead, but they ran like another 7 valuable seconds off the clock, that would have given the Giants time to get in FG range, as they were not too far out to begin with. Instead they had to settle for a hail mary.

I didn't realize whining about a big loss was exclusive to New England fans.

I certainly didn't hear any Spurs fans whatsoever whining about bad calls in the Dallas-SA series.

We all know every single Mavs fan graciously accepted everything that happened in the 06 Finals.

Seahawks fans certainly didn't about anything when they lost to the Steelers.

and we all know Philadelphia residents didn't do anything crazy like get one of their Senators to investigate their Super Bowl loss.

It's just the Patriots fans that do crap like this.

In other news, Lions' fans want the last seven years investigated and hopefully replayed.

IIRC, the clock was stopped for a measurement, no?

    Aisle seat, please.

1205. News out of Boston Boston police today reported finding a body in the Charles River. The victim apparently drowned due to excessive alcohol consumption. He was described as wearing black fishnet stockings, a red garter belt, a pink wig, a strap-on dildo, a Patriot's jersey, and had a cu ber stuffed up his ass. The police graciously removed the Patriot's jersey to spare the family unnecessary embarrassment.

Another thing that struck me as odd was Belichick being able to challenge that 12 players were on the field. I thought you could only challenge calls made on the field like incomplete passes, fumbles, that kind of stuff. Obviously you can, but I bet if that had been Brian Billick they would have told him to piss off, you can't challenge that... Yeah and I remember that play exactly when he fumbled. The clock kept running!

It was brought up several times this year as something that could be done, and in fact had been done by a variety of teams this year. It's something they added in the last couple years, though, IIRC.

Spurs, Mavericks, and Seahawks fans did not go as far as making a pe ion to review their playoff losses though.

Actually the Seahawks did create a pe ion. They even went so far a saying that the NFL is fixed in their pe ion. Get your facts straight before saying anything, smart guy.

LOL.Just cuz they will always be remembered as the team that couldnt close the deal and choked to the Giants who "shouldn't even have been there" (which i think is a bunch of bull) doesn't mean they have to sit around and pick out every little questionable part of the game and whine about it. Pats fans get on my nerves but belive me, Cleveland fans (Cavs AND Indians) are by far the most y, whiny, annoying babies ever.

While its a move to do that period, the Seahawks actually had reason to be upset with the officiating.

SB 42 was officiated just fine. Pats fans are absolutely absurd to complain about the officiating though.

"Kind of like the AFC championship game in January 2007 against the Colts. Great game, the very mention of which makes me feel like I got stabbed with an icepick in the "

This guy is pretty funny actually. I watched the ones from last year when the Colts beat the Pats and it was pretty good too.
