that's funny, what do they think he will do? Go back and play the rest of the game? How much would Super Bowl re-do ads cost? and would they sell tickets?

So, what, did Pats fans all drive their Volvos to the country club and decide to do this while drinking Amstel Light?

Maybe Boston residents should have taken a cue from Eagles fans and gotten one of their Senators to investigate why they lost the Super Bowl.

Here's a thought Pat fans, maybe the Pats Defense should've held the Giants to 4 and out to win the game.

Not too different from 0.4 to me. This was expected from any team to take a hard loss from a team.

The clock was stopped following third down with 1:40 left in order to measure. It was wound for fourth down. Brandon Jacobs picked up the first down. 1:28 was left on the clock. It was stopped for a presumptive measurement (the clock actually was run down to 1:22, but six seconds were added back because the timekeeper neglected to stop the clock immediately upon the signal to measure). Instead, the official signaled a first down. The clock did not start again. The next play was completed with 1:28 showing on the clock the entire time. The timekeeper then rapidly ran the clock down to 1:13. However, by the start of the next play, the clock read 1:20. By my estimate, it should have read :56.

So, in my judgment, there should have been 24 fewer seconds on the clock. That means that Plaxico Burress' game-winning catch should have happened with 11 seconds on the clock, not 35, and the Patriots should only have had one play from scrimmage on their last-minute desperation possession, rather than four.

    Right on.

The game would've ended with a desperation Hail Mary instead of Eli kneeling.

    This is just re ed.

I believe their argument is that the Giants may play that last drive differently with less time on the clock. The playcalling & decision-making by Eli might have been affected due to the difference in time on the clock. Even the biggest Pats hater would admit that there is a possibility that the comfort level & mindset of the Giants may be altered if they have less than a minute to go, as opposed to almost a minute & a half.

It's an incredibly weak & stupid argument, but I think that's where they're coming from.

The Giants mights have played differently on that final drive if I didn't go get pizza at halftime and stayed to watch Tom Petty. They might have played differently if I wiped my ass with my left hand instead of my right. The Colts might have beat San Diego if I didn't cut my hippie hair during the bye week (and if you want further proof that haircuts jinx your team, Brady cut his hair the day before the Super Bowl). Maybe I would have millions of dollars if I was fathered by Steve Jobs instead of my actual dad.

I've got pages of these, I can go on.

Tell me about it. I went to a SB party with a group of people I didn't know very well, I didn't have a seat that felt comfortable, it didn't feel appropriate to yell " !" everytime the Patriots did something bad like I usually do, and instead of chips & pizza they had a bunch of crap like artichoke dip & spinach crackers or some . I debated going home at halftime to watch the game, but since I drove an hour to get there I decided to stay so that I wouldn't miss any of the second half. Worst decision of my life.

I was completely uncomfortable and out of my element all game long, and as a result I wasn't able to channel my usual amount of good fan mojo to the team. At halftime I hoped to reverse the bad mojo of the ty SB party I was at by switching from the Belichick hoodie to my Brady jersey, but it was too late. I feel very responsible for this loss.

Yeah, in a similar eerie supers ion, during the Colts SB run last year, I would wear matching jerseys to what Peyton was wearing. Against KC, I wore my blue one, against Baltimore I wore my white one. . . During pregame for the New England game, I spilled some dip all over the white numbers of the blue one and promptly threw it in the wash, it wasn't clean until right before halftime when they kicked the FG to make it 21-6. Then of course I wore the white one for the Super Bowl which they won.

    Scary, huh?
