Heard it on the radio as I was going home. Apparently he called on his delegates to support McCain at the convention as well.

    Thoughts?

no real surprise i guess...repubs will fall in line behind mccain for the most part even if some have to hold their noses.

but as was the case in '96, i suspect a fair number of them to sit this one out rather than vote for the guy.

Something very strange going on. I am waiting for the other
shoe to drop. Is this a way for Romney to get back at Huckabee?
    Very strange.

I think Romney is setting himself up for 2012. What better way than to play the party loyalist now? And yes, it clearly puts pressure on Huckabee to wrap things up.

May be. But why so soon. He could have waited much
longer to do his thing. I think I would have liked to have
been a fly on the wall listening in to the conversation when
this deal was brokered. Would have been very interesting,
    wouldn't it?

Clam, my boy, I have some real trepidation for the country
as a whole when I see what we have running for President.

Not one real leader amongst all of them. Barack included.
He is truly the candy man.

What Joe, what? What is he going to do. Change, what
change. More big government programs. That's not
change, that is business as usual.

Sorry, but I don't agree with you. He is a candy man,
a man of YOUR dreams. Yes, We Can. What, nothing,
    no substance.

Have you read his website and his plans?
I believe my DREAMS are every Americans' dream for a better country.

Cynicism is a sorry kind of wisdom. - Barack Obama

It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change. - Charles Darwin

I simply believe in his message.

But I understand where you come from.

    I agree with Ray.

Starting a Social (en lement) program to deal with a problem costs money, but doesn't ever solve the problem. That's not change. There is tons of evidence in this country, and elsewhere, that socialism and socialist programs ALWAYS cost more than adverstised, but NEVER deliver on THEIR promises.

It boggles my mind that so many people are incapable of grasping this truism.

No Change w/Obama. Sure talks nice, though.

Everything usually costs more than was intended. It is true and I accept that fact.

PERFECT description of Iraq oil-grab war. Was supposed to be "self-financing" from Iraq oil revenues and US invaders down to 30K troops by 9/2003. Damn, sounds like socialists forced dubya to invade Iraq.

I wonder myself what's happening. It doesn't make sense to me with what I know.
