if 1998, the Bulls would tear Spurs new assholes
if 2003, Bulls would get crushed because of the foul outs and flagrant fouls tha would be called on them by today's officials.
No homerism here, but I dont see what depth we had outside our starting 5 and a young Manu.
You know, 98 Bulls were good, but I'm going to have to take the team of 10 bearded Bonners also.
The only weakness I see is Kukoc and Rodman in the front court.
Would you stick Rodman on D-Rob or Duncan? The Bulls would get owned in the low-post
However, Jordan and Pippen would have a field day. You could slide Pippen on Parker, have Jordan on Jackson, and move Harper to Bowen.
Really, I'm not sure, it could come down to bench play.

as much as I LOVE the spurs, and that's alot, Jordan was just too good, and the spurs would whine too much.

Jordan was still Jordan. But Pippen was starting to show some s in his armor. Harper was basically done. Rodman could still rebound like it was nobody's business, but he wasn't the defender that he had been earlier his career.
That guys like Scott Burrell and Jason Caffey saw some significant time points to that Bulls team not being particularly deep either.
thats pretty fun, just for fun I did 95-96 bulls (yes, the 72-10 bulls) against the 02-03 Spurs. bulls won 3 out of 5 times.... only 1 game was a blowout with 98 - 114 Bulls win.
interesting. the '03 spurs didn't fair overly well in that match-up.
however, the '07 spurs (set as the road team) won about 67% of the time, often by a large margin.
duncan/parker typically had big games. in retrospect that might make some sense. with the dominance of Parker in the postseason last year, and the '98 version of Pippen starting to show his age, the bulls really wouldn't have had anybody that could check him.
Tried that link... first time attempted had the Spurs winning at home 106-98.. then 110-98... then 91-89... and then finally the Spurs lose 96-104...

Close call 2003 Spurs were inexperienced as the big 3 were not the big 3 just yet and D-Rob was on his way out. The 1998 Bulls were one of the weaker Bull teams. Jordan was not quite his best by that point. They were down and out to the Pacers in a 7 gane series that the Bulls were down by double digits in, with Jordan not dominating in game 7. I like the Bulls in this series but not by much, i say 2005 Spurs and 2007 Spurs take them down and i always thougth if the Bulls came back same team in 99, Spurs were going to dethrone them.

In each of the other championships there has been supporting stars,
1999 - Drob
2005 - Manu then Parker to a lesser extent (oh and horry)
2007 - Parker then Manu to a lesser extent
True, 2003 was Duncan's 2nd MVP season and he needed to be the MAN big time in the playoffs that year. I like the balance of the 05 and 07 teams much better.Bulls, but I don't think 2003 was our best team either. 2003 was Duncan and role players, that was Duncan's solo effort.
