What do I think of Al Jefferson? I think he's Minnesota property through 2013.
I'd like to seem him as a next Timmy.

He doesn't play a lick of defense. He's more like a bigger version of Zach Randolph without the head issues.
he doesn't play defense? lol
I think the T-Wolves are pretty much planning to rebuild around him (and it is a good decision of theirs). It'd be really hard to pry him away without giving up someone detrimental to the team's success.
you're crazy to even think about comparing those two
Next Tim Duncan? Don't think so, but the guy will easily be a top player in this league, I think he'll have a real breakout season next year and make the all-star team.
I don't know how much more broken out you can be than 21 and 12....
dude is already a player.
you know, when I watched the game of spurs vs timberwolves,I'm surprised to find that you have to double him to stop him scoring
He don't. Not against the Laker he didn't. I watched every game.
I'd like the kiddo, but next TD will goes to Chris Bosh IHMO.
You guys are crazy. There will never be another TD.
Al Jefferson is good but his fundamentals are not as good. Passing out of double teams also needs to improve.
But definitely better than Chris Bosh. Bosh sucks versus the stronger teams.
"Next Tim Duncan" isn't playing proffessional ball right now and might not come around for a long time, because it's a unique combination that makes TD so great....
1) Spectacular fundamentals (defense and low post)
2) Range on jumpshot
3) Superior length and wiry strength
4) Court vision
5) Lack of primadonna at ude
6) Rebounding
Some players have a few of these traits, but I don't think you'll find a single player out there that displays all of them.
As much as I love Al Jefferson, I think he's lacking in #s 1,2, & 4 right now. Not that he won't grow in thos categories, but I just don't see it yet.
And as much as I love Chris Bosh (my 2010 master plan favorite!), he definitely doesn't have the strength or court vision of Timmy....and could do better in the rebouding category as well.

I wonder if Boston should've kept him. As is, Boston has 2-3 seasons to make a run at the championship. If the Celtics don't achieve a championship, the Garnett trade will obviously be rehashed as Jefferson's potential continues to grow.
guess you missed the game where he destroyed yao on both ends. maybe it's just a motivation thing but the guy can play great defense.
He's a beast in the making.
