    Even if the Mavericks didn't rest their starters, is there any guarantee they would have beaten the warriors? I mean Golden State beat them in 8 of 10 games that season

    I like Dirk and think he is a great player. But having said that I also believe that he isn't at this point and probably will never be the main man like Timmy is. He can change this but hasn't. He had his chance in '06 but failed. The Mavs were desperately needing points and leadership agianst Miami and he vanished - "like a fart in the wind" so to say. Ditto '07. I classify him as a great 2nd/3rd option - just like I would Gasol. When the big games are on the line give it to Timmy or Manu. Their proven and Dirk isn't.

    But if I could put him on owr team I would do it in a heartbeat. Of course w/o trading any of the Big 3!

    Best part about game 6.......

    No Mavs fan can claim that the Warriors got lucky. When you get your ass handed to you like that, it's pretty much time to walk away and STFU.

    team, not teams. The world doesn't revolve around the Spurs. There are more teams to worry about. But I guess you're still high from thursday night. Ok, if that gives you confidence that the spurs would beat the Mavs easily in the playoffs you go ahead and think that.
