Hillary goes nuclear on the Democratic Party!

For the fifth time in three days Hillary has said that McCain is more qualified than Obama to be president. How does this play if she's not the Democratic nominee?

1. "There are certain critical issues that voters always look to in a general election. National security experience (and) the qualifications to be commander-in-chief are front and center. They always have been. They always will be," she said.

She said she and McCain had traveled to Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan together as she repeated a line that surfaced from the campaign trail. She and McCain "bring a lifetime of experience to the campaign, Clinton said, while "Sen. Obama will bring a speech he gave in 2002," stating his opposition to the Iraq war as an Illinois state senator.

2. "[McCain has] never been president, but he will put forth his lifetime of experience. I will put forth my lifetime of experience. Senator Obama will put forth a speech he made in 2002."

3. "I have a lifetime of experience that I will bring to the White House. I know Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience that he will bring to the White House. And Senator Obama has a speech he gave in 2002."

4. "Of course, well, you know, I've got a lifetime of experience. Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience. And you know, Senator Obama's whole campaign is about one speech he made in 2002."

5. "I think that since we now know Sen. (John) McCain will be the nominee for the Republican Party, national security will be front and center in this election. We all know that. And I think it’s imperative that each of us be able to demonstrate we can cross the commander-in-chief threshold," the New York senator told reporters crowded into an infant’s bedroom-sized hotel conference room in Washington.

"I believe that I’ve done that. Certainly, Sen. McCain has done that and you’ll have to ask Sen. Obama with respect to his candidacy," she said.

How dare you. She was the first lady for crissakes. She flew into Bosnia and placed her life in danger (along with those of Sinbad and Sheryl Crow who were also on the USO tour plane). She ran for the Senate against popular NY mayor Giuliani (that is until he dropped out of the race after getting cancer). She has 35 years of experience (including a nice run on the board of Walmart while they were busting unions and a posh gig at a corporate law firm).

She's a second term senator while he's a first term. He built his political career on his own. She rode her husband's coattails while her husband rode...nevermind.

It's amusing how she's experienced and qualified because she's experienced and qualified. I guess if you repeat something often enough it becomes fact.

I can't say that there are many policy viewpoints I actually share with Senator Obama on, but I definitely prefer him to his intra-party rival. Should she win, America faces 30 straight years of one member of two families residing in the White House. What country is this, again?

Seriously, how does being the first lady qualify you to be presidnt? She visited those countries, yes, Met alot of leaders (most of who are dead or are no longer in power) she didn't do anything profound on those trips, just photo ops and tours. The only thing she knows about the inner-workings of the white house is where the bathrooms are.

Now, word is coming from Canada that it was the Hillary campaign that initiated NAFTA-gate, and it was Hillary, not Obama as has been alleged, who was offering reassurances to the Canadians about renegotiating on NAFTA ....

I see major divisions amongst the democratic party no matter what happens now. At this point there really is no way unless a deal is done with both Barack and Hillary agreeing to compromise in some way. Neither will have enough delegates to win the nomination without the Super Delegates and then the real battle begin but in the end, while a winner may be declared and nominated, the clear loser will be the democratic party.
