You gotta' do something there.
Dude takes you around the neck and drops you...I don't care how "nice" he is and how good his reputation is. Get in his face. Do something. Don't throw a punch and get suspended, but don't walk off like nothing happened.
On another note, didn't Murphy get into it earlier this season with someone and get punched in the face? I guess he's not that "nice" of a guy after all.
Don't go that route. Hit them where it hurts. In the Win-Loss column.
I agree to an extent. The ultimate "in your face" is scoreboard.
But still, you have to have a line you draw. You hold your ground and keep your cool Manu-style to a certain extent. I always thought Udoka would be one of the few guys on the team, maybe Horry being the other, who would retaliate in a situation like that.
Kinda' let me down he didn't
Why should Ime waste his baddassery on the Pacers?
They suck. Being a Pacer with pooh as your only fan is punishment enough.
Also true.
But you didn't feel a little let down? If anything Kurt Thomas should have retaliated, or Horry. If not on that play, one of the following plays. Anyways, that's not the Spurs MO. =( I still would have liked to see it though.
Anyone remember that story on TrueHoop about Udoka brawling with an African team?
No, the Spurs show in the long run that they have class.
or do things the Tim Duncan way:
When, during college, Duke center Greg Newton ripped Duncan for being "passive," "soft" and "babyish" after one game, reporters dutifully trotted to Duncan for a response, sure that he would rise to the bait. The insults were just too blatant. "He's a great player," Duncan said calmly, and Newton has been living down the comments ever since.
Nah, I felt fine about it. They didn't need to waste any more effort on the Pacers than was necessary. No need to risk a suspension during this stretch of games.
Wow Never saw that quote before. ^^^
I don't know who Greg Newton is, but I don't like him.
The last thing Udoka needs heading into the playoffs is a reputation as a "troublemaker". The last thing the Spurs need heading into the playoffs is another reason for the refs to blow against them.
Yeah we also don't need bottom-feeders potentially injuring our guys in frustration with impuinity.
Stupid ass- only Horry is allowed to do such things.
Udoka made a mistake once, got a technical, and it costs us the game.
The important thing is to blow these crap teams out early so our starters are on the bench when they start getting chippy.
You wanted Udoka to throw a punch? LOL
That's a little extreme isn't it? I could see maybe you saying push him, but throw a punch would be the stupidest move ever. He'd not only get suspended, Pop would throw him in the doghouse.
dumbest thread of the year
He is on Bonner's list. He won't pull anymore shenanigans like that again.
ban him for his sheer stupidity
Only controlled aggression leads to victory.
