My prediction is that media (actually, their advertisers that finance the media) will give this story MUCH less play than some disappeared pretty white chick. It's all a question of ad $$$, which of course is decide by the people who actually watch TV and finance the corps who buy the politicians.

So the brain-dead people who watch TV and consume are really the people who govern America.

LBJ once said "If you have enough votes, you can do anything".

Now, it's "If you have enough Nielsen ratings...."

The corps will decide that the Iraq vets is a non-story, thereby protecting the WH, the Repugs, DoD, neo- s, NSA/CIA who created the unlawful climate of torture, lawless mercenaries, extraordicnary rendition, indefinite incarceration without charge, kangaroo military courts, etc. in the military chain of command. Which is ultimately the corps protecting themselves from reprisals from all the above for pushing the story.

America under the Repugs has become, beyond any doubt or discussion, fundamentally corporatized/militaristic/plutocratic fascism, ins utions and govt as the supreme power, crushing individuals (who used to be sovereign).

All the myths about America the Beautiful were always nothing but unsustainable myths. Put a little, or a lot, of pressure on them myths and they evaporate. Except for those naive simpletons who still believe in their gradeschool textbooks.

McCain, an inane pawn who can't really get his small brain around the enormity of the USA and the Presidency, surely won't make any changes,
Hillary very probably won't,
Obama may try, but he will come up power-short against the corps and the compromised federal govt and judiciary.
