They were PACKED in there somehow. 8-10 people deep from the fence is what I hear and the stands were worse. I thought the same thing. Mike Haag emailed me and said it was incredible to see the sea of people there to support the track and this event.
I was planning on going, but I thought something like this would happen.
, years back when they'd have the high school drags at Alamo you'd have 5K-6K.
That old guy needs to sell his property to the owners of the raceway so they can be NHRA certified. That would easier then me having to drive to Houston and Dallas twice a year.

Build a quarter mile or whatever size asphault track and bring in USAC Midgets or Sprint Cars.

I was at PINKS both days............. I had reserved seats the day of the finals. I was 6 rows back section B.....by the starting line. It was awesome!!!!!! Definitely in the top 5 things Ive experienced in my life. Marriage, Kids born, College Degree, Spurs championships and PINKS

I drove by Saturday night as it was wrapping up. The stands were full and they had peeps standing all the way down the track. Pretty impressive crowd.
Speaking of San Antonio Raceway, if you happen to see the IHRA game for PS2, flip it over and look at the screen shot on the back of the case. Yep. SAR.
