    When was the last time a black head coach won the NBA le?

    KC Jones? Bill Russell and Lenny Wilkens won les too. AJ was in the Finals a couple years ago.

    Looked it up, and Al Attles won a le with the Warriors in 1975 and Byron Scott took the Nets to the finals twice, in addition to those above.

    Yeah, I know AJ won a le with the Spurs as a player. What I am asking is when was the last time a black head coach won the NBA le as a head coach?

    And I already told you. KC Jones did it with the Celtics (in 1986). AJ was in the finals as a head coach of the Mavericks, which is what I was referring to.

    Oh, yeah...The Destroyer...the Warriors swept the Bullets in the Finals that year.

    Yup...the Bird Celtics...I remember KC Jones...guess he was the last one...hard to believe it's been 22 years...he was actually the coach of the 1975 Bullets that lost to Attles' Warriors.
