This is why who hates us?
Just now on ABC's morning show, the talking heads were discussing the Spitzer situation.
As is customary in these cases, they went to an expert in the field being disussed. D.A.? Vice officer? Defense attorney?
No.
Heidi Fleis.
what color is the sky in your world?
It was sarcasm....
Kind of.
When various religious zealots from around the world rant about the "Great Satan"; putting a renowned madamme on to get her take on a governor's indiscretion with an expensive escort - and somehow passing the whole thing off as a serious discussion of news - might be what "they" are talking about.
That is all.
Oh, I think most places on earth understand about sex,
marriage and messing around. Everyone does it, even
in the Muslim countries.
It is just a prerequisite to run for office as a dimm-o-crap.
Why do you think he is still Governor of New York this
morning. Like I said just another day in LaLa land.

Oh.
OK.
Or, maybe they're mad because we replaced bazaar merchants with those big bins with scoops in the bulk section at Central Market.
You REALLY need to get your sarcasm meter checked; don't take me seriously in this thread.
I found Ms. Fleiss's interview to be funny as (the fact that it was) - is the point of the original post. I failed to convey that.
Extra Stout sort of employ's a ChumpDumper-esque style of sarcasm in his posts to make people mad, but it's not 100% CD-esque, so most of the time I'm thinking is Extra Stout being serious or is he being sarcastic? I don't know so I just try to resposd in the most annoying way.
I'll bet you're popular at parties. [//serious sarcasm]
No, not really, I'm pretty dull/boring sometimes. (I'm being serious)
You lack cultural context.
And so our observations are the same.
I know the stuff you say ties in with something going on in the world today or the past, sometimes I pick it up, sometimes I don't, but are you being sarcastic or serious? Also was that an insult?

Oh, sorry, I should have picked up on the unspoken "and if this is why they hate us, then I freaking agree with them" angle, which is a well-played sarcastic device. My bad.
And ignored the whole "It was sarcasm" notation by Dark Reign, followed by the "Kind of" response by 101A.
But I didn't understand what kind of sarcasm it was. Now I do.
Sadly, when it comes to sarcasm on the internets, this is the best I've been able to come up with.
So what do you do if you're engaging in Al Franken-style "kidding on the square?"
Meh, that's too much trouble. Besides, it can be just as funny if someone doesn't catch the sarcasm.
Speaking of Al, looks like he's on the November ballot, up against Norm Coleman in Minnesota.
Aw, crap. This isn't one of those cryptograms, is it? I suck at cryptograms...
If we need different colors to signify sarcasm, then the terrorists have already won.
The thread had me giggling;
with this, I fell on the floor.
