if he was still on spurs. beno would still be turning the ball over at half court.
I don't care what any of you Beno-haters say, Spurs could sure use him of late. First Scola, then Udrih... Spurs' FO has let some valuable pieces slip away...
if he was still on spurs. beno would still be turning the ball over at half court.
well i rather have him TO then some clowns on our fukn bench who doesnt bother turnin up
I never liked Beno. Thought he was soft...way too 'metro'. But the reality is, he has proven that he can play at the NBA level. Not a superstar, but he has been very solid for the Kings and he should get better. I don't necessarily like it, but there it is.

I don't know why we always have threads like this about Beno. He is playing well for the Kings. He didn't play well here. He had his fair share of chances and that never changed. He was often injured, mostly lazy and didn't work at his game. He obviously is doing things right in Sac, but that doesn't mean he would have ever been good here. Some players don't fit.
Beno just couldn't cut it as a Spur.
It no longer matters if it was his fault or Pop's fault or our fault.
It just didn't work for whatever reason.
I always liked him, I'm glad he's doing well.
But I don't think it was ever going to happen for him as a Spur.
Beno playing like > Vaughn+Stoudamire
Beno was never played after a certain point. Was never given another chance. I hated the guy, but that's true.
Scola was never given the chance at all. Matt "Terrific" Bonner was.
what r u smokin?![]()
lol yeah... maybe I'm being too hard on Vaughn and MM, I'm sorry![]()

anyone who defends Beno is just mad because he didn't turn out the way everyone expected.
Beno didn't belong on the Spurs. Needed a chance somewhere else.
Get off of it chump. Was never given another chance. I hated the guy, but that's true.
He was given more than enough chances and saying he was "benched" is BS.
He had the chance two years ago, he had his chance again last year.
He didn't take advantage of it. How many ing chances do you gotta give a guy!?!?!
Enough to get more for a guy than negative money in a trade. He clearly has talent. He's proved it so far in Sacramento. Either you're pigheaded and run talent away or you find a way to work them in. The first way, you wind up with a decrepit, aged team we have now. I don't fault them for getting rid of him or, really, getting rid of Scola. I fault them for not getting anything at all for them. Or, in fact, turned them into negative assets.
Thats all anyone was willing to give up.
Do you not understand how horrible his trade value was?
The Blazers laughed at Jarret Jack for Beno.
LAUGHED.
You act like they could've gotten Randy Foye for the guy
Beno mentally can't handle getting just a limited number of minutes as a backup PG behind an all-star caliber PG. He can only be an average, at best, starting PG or a failure.
Beno is doing fine. Pop just can't develop . He has turned Damon Stoudamire into less than Anthony Carter in 3 got damn weeks.
Scola >>> Beno
Scola = 1st in West by now
if you wanna complain complain about him. not ing beno.

All this talk about Beno if ing re ed. Yea, its a shame we didnt get anything in return, but what the could there be done about it then? There is absolutely nothing wrong that the F.O did in this case, and everyone except Angel Luv everyone was happy when Beno got shipped away.
Exactly. Well taken without the second statement.
maybe not first, but in a of a better position than right now. leading the division at least.

Beno sucked here.
We were lucky to get nothing in return for him.
