Run up that score es.
Who is it against? What's the other team got?
Scored 157 points with 2 minutes to play in the fourth quarter.
That is some serious scoring there...if I didn't know better I'd think Doug Moe was on the bench![]()
Run up that score es.
Who is it against? What's the other team got?
165 points with 44 seconds to play.
The other team is the Sonics and they have like 112 points or something.
I know I could look it up and I know the Spurs are apart of this record, or at least 2nd.
What's the most collective points scored in a game?
Hmm...most points by both teams is like the Pistons and the Nuggets... 186-184....I think,
What is the record for most points in regulation?
I think the Spurs set the single season scoring record by a team...PPG...if they didn't the Nuggets did and the Spurs came in second or something.
Denver 168, Seattle 116
You know I'm not sure...it might be quite a bit...like 180 points or something...seems like it was the Cavs or Magic that did that. IIRC, Steve Kerr played in that game.
It was in regulation.. so that is pretty impressive.
Like usual with George Karl teams, they are going to catch fire at the end of the season and be a b!tch to eliminate in the playoffs. If JR Smith lives up to even 80% of his potential, they are going to go from hard to guard to damn near impossible to guard.
In Seattle's defense, errrr nevermind...
Yeah, 370 was the total.
Records for most points by a team in a game came from a 186-184 decision between the Detroit Pistons and the, ironically, Denver Nuggets.
That game took three overtimes to get that high.![]()
I guess it's safe to say PJ Carlesimo wasn't the defensive guru on the Spurs.
Seriously though, I was shocked when Kurt Thomas joined the Spurs and said the biggest difference was adjusting from PJ's laidback approach to Pop's intense approach. PJ must have direct orders to take it easy because I've never heard anyone classify PJ as "laidback". Presti must have told him to STFU until year two or three ...
Most points scored by both teams is Pistons Nuggets...370.
Most points scoreded by one team is the Pistons 186....but that was a triple overtime game.
I can't find the record for regulation...
The Cavs game I mentioned earlier was the largest blowout..148-80.
Not sure about the record for regulation...but pretty much the early 80's Nuggets already own just about every offensive record in the book, so it wouldn't suprise me if it's them. It also wouldn't suprise me if this is the new record.
Per ESPN, it's only the FOURTH highest point total in regulation in NBA history. They didn't state what the other three totals were or what teams scored them.
Yeah....the Pistons may have the overall record (in Triple OT), but I think a couple of other teams have broken 180 in regulation before...they just didn't get to 186....and the other teams damn sure didn't score 184 like the Nuggets did in that same Pistons game.
Top teams should hope they miss the play-offs.
beautiful![]()
168-116. Hol-ee crap.
They almost had 5 players score 20 points each...Smith and Atkins scored 19 and 18 respectively.
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_was_t...egulation_game173, by Boston vs. Minneapolis, February 27, 1959; and Phoenix vs. Denver, November 10, 1990.
Actually, it was in 1983, Detroit Pistons over Denver Nuggets, 186-184. Get your facts straight!
Actually, the answer is correct. The Detroit/Denver game was ended after three overtimes. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT!!!
I guess it's safe to say PJ Carlesimo wasn't the defensive guru on the Spurs.
LOL, that may be the understatement of the year!
Go Spurs & Longhorns---Kick Butt...!
Take some advice from the Nuggets es!
You can only score 80 ppg
