I'd say Detroit has just as good a chance as Boston, if not better.

sure they are a great veteran team....but thier coach cant get them to the finals i firmly believe....

maybe if larry brown was still there....

I've been leaning towards Detroit to come out of the East also.
They've got the Playoff experience that Boston just doesn't have.
Boston looked great on paper before the season and they sure have lived up to the hype.
But don't under estimate the experience that Detroit has. It will serve them well through the playoffs.

As long as the Spurs come out of the West I don't care who we beat to repeat.
    Both story lines are good.
The Duncan/Garnett issue put to bed.
    The rematch of the Spurs/Pistons.
    It's all good.

Being the favorite doesn't mean . Just ask the Dallas Mavericks.

statistically, the Celtics and the Rockets are the 2 best teams in the NBA right now. I like fantasizing as much as anyone about the Spurs beating the Celtics in the NBA finals, but right now, I just want to see the Spurs win a freakin' game.

im not speaking of winning records only right now....im speakng of past playoff accomploshments,talent,experience.....

in that case we know the rockets are not gonna make it...please

If you're looking at past playoff accomplishments and experience Detroit comes out way ahead of Boston.

I highlighted the word that doesn't mean much. It's about the present.

That has about a 1% chance of happening again. Celtics and Pistons are clearly better than the cavs and the top 8 teams in the west are very even.

    Ummm maybe on xbox 360.

Will the Spurs ever beat the Mavs where they dont have to come back from double digit points to do it? Last game where the spurs didnt have to come from behind to win...Game 5 2006 semis. The game before that one was a Jan 2005 game.

Well Miami isnt making the playoffs but we could choke against the Warriors. I do know for sure though that the Mavs will be clutch and a matchup nightmare against the spurs.

Don't be too sure...the Pistons are looking really solid right now...I don't think the Celtics can beat the Pistons in a 7-game series.
