It seems to me that Rasho is doing a pretty good job. He plays better than average defense , creates problems at the rim for most drivers and knows how to work within the Spurs offensive system. Without a legit 7-footer Tim would have to do all the heavy lifting. It should also be observed that Rasho's role has been diminished this season because a] so many teams are playing small-ball and b] the Spurs have more offensive options than any time since David left. Do I want to see him more aggressive --yes. Would I trade him for the sake of getting a dunking dude--no!
Secondly, if Malone were to come here I think that Malik would be the most heavily effected in terms of minutes not Rasho. I don't think it wise to bring in a new starter at center and also bring in Malone at the same time. If anything I think the Spurs will move Malik to make room for Malone and let him backup both Tim and Rasho.
