of that run came with Dirk in the game, and the Spurs actually took the lead before he left.

not that this team ever has to worry about their psyche. but with the ups and downs of late, it's good that they took the game back before anyone could start making 'but dirk got hurt' excuses.

Good point. Duncan made his three point play to put up the Spurs by 1 on the same play that Dirk injured his knee/ankle.

This was very reminiscent of game 3 of the 2003 WCF, when Dirk when down with a knee injury in the middle of a big Spurs second-half run.

I saw the switch turn on somewhere in the 3rd quarter. The defensive switch. Best defense I've seen all season from Spurs.

when they play this defense they are unbeatable

Their D was the reason they were able to stay in the game, despite shooting a horrendous 24% for the 1st half.
