Damn, if they didn't about gag that game up.
is moving on to Houston..
Texas is 14-4 against teams that made the tournament this year and 8-2 in games decided by 5 pts or less.
Damn, if they didn't about gag that game up.
Augustin alligator arming that first free throw..
haha @ your avatar. those were the good ole days i hear.
Stanford then probably Memphis. They better be on their game.
Stanford > Texas
umm...no
umm...yes. The Lopez twins are going to abuse Texas.
They're also going to be standing under the basket watching 3 balls raining in as Abrams, Augustine, and James abuse their guards.
tlong you make so many stupid absurd statements just like jgw that the one time freezes over you are going to try and say, ha i told you so, and completely forget all the other asinine things you put forth.
Could Stanf win? Of course they could; however the Lopez twins haven't dominated anyone with a winning record, and it is the play of the guards that will determine this outcome.
sounds about right..
texas took care of the griffin boys from oklahoma this year, so what's another set of twins?
Talk about stupid absurd statements.![]()
Did you not watch the game against Marquette? Or their game against WSU when Brook Lopez had 30 and 12? Or virtually any game Stanford has played this season?
The Lopez brothers will be the deciding factor in this game. UT will only be able to get shots from the outside and that will make it more difficult for them to be accurate.
I'm worried about the game against Stanford. I think if they win that though they will go on to the final four and even possible the NC where they lose to UNC
That being said, if they knock down those outside shots the middle will open up for Mason and Augustin to drive and pass. But everything depends upon hitting the outside shot and Stanford is probably going to give it to them in the beginning of the game (which to me is suicide).
Here's the problem with the Lopez twins - they're huge tools and full of themselves.
Not unlike CaptMike.
Aaah, here lies the point. One player can take over a game. One Lopez, one DJA. When was the last time a team was completely overwhelmed by "the Lopez twins" as you put it? The other one can't stay out of foul trouble, can't hit a free throw to save his life, is a turn over machine, and is only slightly a better rebounder than Hill. Talk about stupid absurd statements; you are the king.
Texas will have to commit to limiting Stanford to as many one and outs as possible. They've been burned on the offensive glass by a few teams this year but that can't happen Friday if they want to play again on Sunday.
Tlong is right on this one. Texas has not faced a frontcourt comprised of two mobile, active, shot blocking and offense threat 7 footers all season. It will be . I still think we can do it, but it will be very tough, and if we are cold from 3 point land, we lose. That simple.
originally i had t.u. beating stanford, but changed it for the bracket challenge. i think stanford wins this one...but this might be the worst bracket i have ever picked, which bodes well for t.u. fan.
I'd just like to know where Oregon OR Oregon St figure into this?
Exactly....![]()
The Lopez Brothers are going to Bukkake our 6'7" powerforwards. Dexter Pittman and Conner Atcheley are going to have to have the greatest game of their lives (literally) to beat this team.
Lopez twins will be a force.
Brook is insane.
I just think that overall, UT will prevail because it is a deeper team. Who knows, that is why Davidson is in the Sweet 16 tho...
Gonna need RB to rotate the F's in & out & get 1 or both Lopez' in foul trouble & maybe even have a UT G or 2 penetrate & draw some fouls on them as well.
Don't discount the home court tho....
Ima tellin' ya, the largest # of UT alums is in the H-town area & they aren't short on cash & prob have been snatchin' up the ducets since before selection Sunday in hopes of seeing the Horns.
MOOKIE, call me, we need to hook up for the game on Friday. Maybe CBF et al will cruise in as well?
This is the #2 team in the Pac-10 versus the #2 team in the Big-12. I'll take the Pac-10 every time!![]()
