Phoenix losing tonight definitely softens the blow a little bit.
Might help soften the blow we took a couple nights ago.![]()
On the downside, we'll all have to start hearing about the 'surging Jazz' again.
Either way, Phoenix is getting their asses handed to them.![]()
Phoenix losing tonight definitely softens the blow a little bit.
Utah is still up by 10 with about 2 min to go in the 4th.
I think this is the first time in my life that I have wanted Utah to win a game.
Utah suddenly pushing the big teams.
Phoenix fall down go BOOM.
This is turning out to be a great night. Spurs win, Phoenix loses, Dallas is losing big, Lakers losing big.
Defense wins games. Okur was all over the place in this game- he had 17 rebounds/10 were offensive. He went 8-16 and had 21 points. He is the reason that Utah won this game.
Sounds like a repeat of two nights ago.
The Suns got whooped tonight. There's something to be said for the al ude in Utah taking its toll on teams that run like the Suns do. That, and the Suns were on their 2nd of a back-to-back.
One the Jazz side of that game, AK will be back on Saturday from his injury. Their confidence has got to be sky high after posting W's over the Spurs and Suns in the same week.
6 points from the suns bench!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What was impressive is that Suns actually caught them at beginning of 4th and then Utah just jumped on them. Props to Jerry Sloan = what a coach!
7 point win was not indicative - listening on radio they had 11 with 35 sec to go or so.
Maddoc
lmao! I thought the same thing a few days ago.
Pretty impressive for the Jazz. Although they've really only proved they are tough at home. Lets see them do it on the road.
I was watching the whole fourth quarter of the game.
The Jazz took the lead in the second quarter and never were tied after that.
They had a 7 point lead going into the fourth, then hit a three to start the 4th. The Suns never caught them or got closer than about six the whole quarter.
Is anyone a little LESS upset about two nights ago? They just took it to the 1 seed. If they can get on a tear with AK back, they might just squeek into the playoffs. They played .615 ball with AK. Translate that over the last 45 games, Add that to what they have now, and you come out with 40 wins. Factor in maybe some extra confidence from winning without AK against the #1 and #2 in the West, and you may come up with 44-45 wins.
Can you imagine Phoenix's chagrin if they get the #1 and see Utah at #8?
The jazz won 2 straight games against 2 good teams.....WTF??? Are they going to beat seattle also?
If Utah could get healthy they are a damn good team.
Okur should start, why he doesnt is beyond me.
Okur
Boozer
Kirilenko
Giricek
random point guard.
BTW,
WTF is wrong with Carlos Arroyo?
Likely they won't.
This however helps them gain their confidence before AK comes back into play.
I'm pretty sure that they will become a .500 team.
eh, and OKUR IS ON MEH FANTASY TEAM...
YEAH!
I don't care, its not spurs related.
Btw....Sonics losing too...
This is proving that the Suns and Sonics, even though they lost like we always do, dont mean they are unbeatable.
Spurs mainly will definately always make a team beatable.
Dwarf tossing, non spurs related forum.
PHX is backend of home/away B2B, and with the minutes their starters play, harder than for most, but PHX has been great so far this year in B2B.
Jazz outshot them FG 50% - 43%, and killed Suns on the boards, 55-35.
PHX got beat by the Jazz playing out their minds, shooting 50%.
Not much defense on display in PHX-UTA or DAL-HOU games.
Spurs defense is the distinguishing factor. It sure ain't the Spurs half-court offense.
Spurs go up 5 on the Mavericks.
Down I think 2 1/2 to the Suns???
Good position for the home stretch in the next three months.
Clips seem to have a thing about beating up on SEA @LAC. Clips womped SEA in the first game of the season, and now playing them tough again tonight.
