Well, the Lakers are in third right now because they are on top of their division.
So, I'm hoping all those fairweather fans that were thinking the world was going to end can go away now.
I'm willing to bet that we'll have the 1 or 2 seed by the end of the season.
I'll bet my next paycheck.
Well, the Lakers are in third right now because they are on top of their division.
How about a meaningful bet?![]()
Most probable the sixth spot goes to Phoenix or Houston ...
hmm
It's a small fortune if you were to live in Zaire.
This thread is inaccurate unfortunately. I believe LA is in third place because they lead their division. Utah is fourth for the same reason.
The Spurs are actually the fifth seed right now.
i would be so happy for the spurs to end up with the seventh seed and sweep the mavs out of the first round.
that would be awesome, eh?
Yeah the spurs are still fifth.
It would be, but I don't see the Mavericks living up to their end of that bargain.
They would have to be the two seed in order for that to play out. Not very likely.
or we would have to catch new orleans for the second spot, and drop below los angeles, and then have the mavs keep their seventh spot.
You're right, we currently have the 5th seed.
But, I'm sure Houston will loose a couple down the road and I'm hopefull that the Hornets have three possible losses coming on the road (Boston, Orlando, Lakers). 8 of their next 12 games will be on the road.
We got Houston on Sunday, so I'm pretty sure we'll be in second place. Plus, Houston has 7 of their next 10 games on the road.
I can see a #1 seed in our future.
Hang on a sec, I'll call Atrain.![]()
True we are the 5th seed.
But, I said we were in 3rd place.
That's Conference standings.
Check it and get back to me.
New Orleans doesn't seem to be slowing down. That team is playing very good right now and CP3 is the truth. David West is mega-talented.
Yeah going down the stretch here, a lot of tough games for the Lakers, New Orleans, and Houston.
but the Spurs last 10 won't exactly be a picnic
@ Minnesota
vs Houston
vs Golden State
@ Utah
@ Portland
vs Phoenix
vs Seattle
@ LA Lakers
@ Sacramento
vs Utah
Checked. You're absolutely correct.
Unfortunately, third "place" in this case gets Utah in the opening round.
That looks like 6-4 to me...
the T-Wolves game is here, not on the road...
just looking at that sched, the Spurs should do no worse than 7-3 and really should go 8-2.
Agree. If they are truly playoff ready, they should go 8-2. I see them losing at LA and Utah.
Don't underestimate Portland and Golden State.
i honestly see the spurs going 10-0, MAYBE 9-1.
the spurs are starting to play pretty well; i loved their defense intensity for a five minute stretch during the fourth quarter..
anyways.
i think they'll do just fine.
you're right. my bad.
The games against, Houston, Utah, Phoenix, LA, and Golden State are going to be hard fought because no one wants to slip. All these teams will be fighting for playoff positioning.
I can see them losing in Utah and losing another somewhere in there on the road. They should be able to win out at home, although they have some tough ones.
