That does actually say Spurs in it.
Mavs have 2nd best road record 10-4 (vs Spurs 11 -7) against the Spurs best-homeboy record of 18-1.
If a couple of the Mavs shooters are hot and the dont-wanna-be-here Spurs show up, Spurs will be in deep trying to get a ty W, and could end up with another ugly, give-away L.
Mavs really aren't anything special, they can score a lot, but with mediocre %ages. When their NBA-2nd-best offense scores enough, they win, but their D mostly sucks, 14th in the league. HOU! scored 124 @Mavs two nights ago. (A JVG team scored 124 pts? on the road? WTF?)
As always, Spurs win easily if they play their game. Since Mavs' D won't take the Spurs out of their game, the burden is upon the Spurs to play The Spurs Way.

You can call them Dallas now their Defense is top 10 this year. In fact only last year was the only year that the sucked on Defense probably 28. The year before that they were about 16th but their offense was so good that year that everybody commented on their lack of defense.

I was tring to say they are one of the top ten defensive teams in league if not maybe they are close to it.
They are easily top 8 in West id say about 5th.
Just trying to say just because their defense was bad last year does not mean it is bad this year. All that being said they can't compete with San Antonio as long as the spurs put effort into the game. Well, unless a player like Dirk or Finley go off and can't miss.

The Spurs have a pretty nasty B2B. This would be a good weekend for the Spurs to play with some consistency for a change, put together 2 good games/wins against 2 WC playoff teams on 2 consecutive nights, and start to show some toughness on the road, where they have pretty much sucked as badly as Spurs FTs.
Spurs January record (4-2, .666) is way below their season record (29-8, .784).
Time to fix that. January record at 8-2, ,800 Sunday morning would be so sweet.
