I cursed so much when I saw that lineup
Throwing in the towel, when you're the one who started the 4th quarter down by 11, with Vaughn, Fin, Oberto, Ime, and Manu.![]()
I cursed so much when I saw that lineup
I've only been watching the game on and off. Mostly off.
What the happened? Why did Pop puss out?
He (stubborn as he is) felt the need to leave in the guys who ended the 3rd quarter (miserably might I add) The lead ballooned from 11 to like 25 in a matter of 3 or 4 mins. By then it was too late and the real players stayed seated.
Who should've played that was playing better?
Tim - 18 pts
Tony 17pts
0 mins 4th quarter
Now can someone tell me how did I know that there were going to be plenty of panic threads? I'm shocked. Really. Look at my face. See how shocked I am? Very.
Trying to get the 3rd spot to get HOU in the first round.
Gotta keep L.A. close so he can manipulate standings at the end of reg season.
Afraid to tell you but with Tim and Tony in they weren't winning.
Get over it.
Down by 9 at the end of the 3rd while on the road is not that bad. Other teams com back from bigger deficits..........
No other explanation but
CIA POP
Pop read smeagol's thread today and decided to see if Manu could win the game without Tim and Tony.
I will.
Pop needed to rest the starters tonight so that they will be ready for that all important Portland game on Sunday.
Yup...CIA Pop has it all worked out...no worries...![]()
pop knew manu was not on and did not think they would win
so he pulled the starters so utah would not be able to take anything from the game
cia pop
Same lineup he had vs the Rockets, vs the Warriors and all the other teams on the 8 game winning streak.
Them not making shots just made everyone think it was horrible.
Only catching up to this game now. Im reading Pop kept Tim and Tony out in the 4th. Then take into account the mins played out by the subs and starters. You have to wonder if Pop was serious about winning or was this game more about preparing for the play-offs?
Or maybe by the time it was time to bring the starters back in it was a blowout so it was pointless?
You could be onto something here. Although if he still had Manu out there.. then i don't think he would of thought it was entirely pointless.
Spurs have come back from big deficits before. Manu's famous game against the Suns a fe years ago comes to mind.
Oh, no, the Spurs played a ty game! Time for me to DO A BARREL ROLL out my window!
Sorry but trying to lose does not = CIA
He had his normal start of the 4th quarter lineup.
Ginobili plays bad, the defense plays well, so then its a "horrible" lineup.
