Rip
BREAKING NEWS: Actor Charlton Heston dead at 84
So who was the guy who played the dude in the Death Wish series.
Bummer he died. Apes, Ben Hur, Moses man RIP.
Michael Moore![]()
somewhere michael moore is sippin em back while laughing his ass off
This made me happy*. Am I going to ?
*Happiness is about 35% based on his NRA ties and ridiculous comments about the evils of mixing races, and about 65% based on his "acting."
Death Wish was Charles Bronson
I'll gladly send some money to the NRA in his memory.
Glad someone or some people are out there wanting to protect our right to bear arms.
Charles Bronson is BAD ASS He's the old fart of Stallone's.
Larry the Cable Guy![]()
He scared of your kind ( s) so add another 10%. I'm sure he was not racist.
I can't really dislike him for being in the NRA. WTF cares?
He made some comments in "Bowling for Columbine" that would prove otherwise.
So why was he a liberal democrat and a civil rights activist and escorted Dr. King to his I give a dream speech during the 60's?
Because people change over time? I don't know.

Skip ahead to about 3:30 in that clip. His first response to the question about why there are more gun deaths in the US than in Canada is that it's due to the US having more mixed enthnicities.
The point he was trying to make is that poor people commit a majority of the crimes, poor people are not often white. And if I bust out a chart with the number murders committed by non-whites and it's greater than whites am I being racist? Also I heard that during his interview with Moore he had Alzhiemers or was ill/had some other problem.
S y was of right every thread gets turned into an argument on ST.
He was one "larger-than-life" character, and seemed like quite a crotchety old fart too! RIP. Oh, and if you've never seen "Soylent Green", you should.
Hmmm ... his Wikipedia entry says "he was one of a handful of Hollywood stars to publicly speak out against racism and was active in the civil rights movement. During the latter part of his movie career, he starred in films such as The Omega Man and Soylent Green that had a strong environmental message."
Campaigned for Stevenson and Kennedy, two liberal presidential candidates. Opposed segregation and McCarthyism. Although he appears to have had a political change of heart in the 60's and became a conservative (good move!), there's really nothing in his life to suggest that he was a racist, and a good amount of evidence against that idea.

I understand David Duke praised him for something he said. What did he say? Duke is an unsavory character and a real jerk, but we need to avoid ad hominem arguments -- David Duke praised "it", therefore "it" is evil.
As for Michael Moore ... I wouldn't take his work too seriously. He's been in trouble for manipulating interviews to make them say what he wants them to say. And it seemed that Moore was trying to blame Heston for the school shooting that had happened in Michigan prior to the Columbine film. I'd be mad too if some wacko misinterpreted my message and killed a kid, and then some nutty filmmaker blamed me for it!
But if you can find any racist statements that he's made, do link to them.
I'm almost dead certain you don't have the numbers to back that claim up...
If you busted out a chart with those numbers, I would first ask to see how they were compiled and by whom. Statements like his, and yours, especially without a shred of evidence to back it up, are based on nothing more than prejudices and stereotypes and are, therefore, incredibly racist.
Also, I find it hard to believe that he was suffering from Alzheimer's to the degree that he couldn't handle an interview, but he was still able to fulfill his obligations to the NRA at the same time. Not to mention that, last time I checked, blatant racism was not, in fact, a symptom of Alzheimer's.
You mean like when you responded to my first comment by calling me a ?
I don't, but because he said that doesn't automaticall make him racist. I don't even know why I am arguing with CF over this LMAO I don't even care for the guy personally LOL. Just paying some respects, a life is a life. I'm gonna quit taking this thread seriously now.
