The suns will win by 29
Suns by 20+...Mavs just not good enough this season...need one more piece..expect them to win 60+ next season![]()
This game scares me. The worst part of Friday night's Mavs-Lakers game was not the fact that the Lakers remained a game ahead of us in the standings. It's that the Mavs are going to be desperate tomorrow. Not only that, but it's an early day game, and the more desparate team will be able to overcome the challenge of the early start time more easily.
We'll need to play with some "desperation" of our own. Also, we will need to be smart and pound it in to both Shaq and Amare all day long, and drive the ball to the hoop (especially when Dampier is out). If we keep doing that against the Mavs' weak interior defense, then we might be able to get a few good looks from outside also. Other keys will be turnovers (we've got to fix this new problem of turning the ball over), and dominating the boards (or at least having the edge). If we do all of that, along with playing decent defense, then perhaps we'll be able to negate the "desperation" advantage of the Mavs.
Go Suns!

Don't worry about the mavs. They are a team full of chokers and you guys have the most dominant player in the nba in Shaq. We have Ericka Dampier. I predict a blowout in your favor, suns by 40!
haha this thread is funny when most Mav's fans are predicting a blowout loss. Put another L in the loss column. This ain't gonna be pretty. Shaq tears Dampier apart. Mav's have no answer for Stoudamire. Nash is still better than Kidd. Barbosa is too fast and the rest of the Suns will just light it up from all over the court. Dirk would have to score 50 pts just for the Mavs to stay with the Suns.
Dirk is on a mission + midday game + Mavs fighting for their lives. Mavs by 5
Just when you folks begin to bury the Mavericks, the rise again. Avery Johnson will have the Mavs ready to play.
Mavs by 1
Nash, Amare have a field day against the Mavs. Snaq vs. Erica. Hobbled Dirk will give up as many points as he will score.
I see the Suns winning by 10+.
that's probably the closest to how i feel about it.
especially that 2nd thing. midday games are just for the suns.
suns SHOULD pull it out, but it'll be close.
if avery ever figures out how to run an offense with a good point guard, the mavs could be dangerous.
The thought of what Amare is going to do to Dirk on one leg scares the out of me. They should switch it up and have him cover Shaq and Damp cover Amare. Not that that will be some magical elixir, but Amare is a dominant beast on one end of the court, and he's going up against a guy on one bad wheel.
Amare goes for 40+. That's my prediction.
i am looking forward to this basketball game immensely
Suns by 3
I see no good reason why this won't be yet another Mavs give spirited effort/fall just short in the final minute affair
this will be blow out. mavs by 20.
I see a Josh Howard tech in the final minutes of a close game that completely s us.
Mavs year will be next year after they add another scorer...not this year...doesnt really matter![]()
Suns b 2.
Last minute game winning three from Steve Nash.
I say one of the coaches will get a tech.
but Mavs will pull away with a convincing victory
Although every logical bone in me says the Suns will win, I think the Mavs somehow pull a close win.
I'm still baffled by any reason why the Mavs would want to win at this point.
I'd try my luck in the lottery/offseason and begin to prepare for next season.
the first round win vs the Spurs is sweeter than a lottery pick.
