Eh, Kurt Thomas is a pretty good interior defense, but yeah, until Splitter gets here and or mahinmi and another shot blocker thats true.
Is the spurs interior defense kind of over reated, cuz the only true shot blocker we have is Tim Duncan, and we dont have anyone besides him who can dominate paint on the defensive end when sits down. I acknowledge the fact that we have Kurt Thomas, he not a good shot blocker, but is a good one on one defender in the low post.... and Oberto is just a pure husslers and frustrates his oppenents, he takes charges but then again lack that shot blockig quality.. and Matt Bonner is more of a small forward in a power forwards boddy... Most teams attack are interior more when timmy sits down, at the end of the day that might be the only down qualilty on the spurs defense this year. Last year we had Elson, even though he was'nt that good, he was athletic enough and could make those blocks...

Robert is'nt what he used to be...
Robert can still defend the rim decently.
Giving up on him is a huge mistake...
I wish we would have enrolled Ian Mahinmi into the spurs lineup from the begining of the year, and he could have been the starting forward or Center along Tim Duncan, that could have been something....
Speaking of hurt Robert, no news about Brent?

I did'nt say he's done, but Horry is more of a weak side helper....
oberto is ok most of the time
most expected more out of elson this year
elson played decent at end of last year
most thought one more year he would improve
Robert can make some massively great defensive plays...and he can turn around and make some massively stupid fouls. Right now, I'm not comfortable with him playing.
And I'm saying that knowing we could use him.
Between Duncan, KT, and Oberto...I think we can hold our own inside. Tho Duncan has been a step slow all season on interior D, it may still be good enuf.

Horry is not a good low post defender, he is'nt that big and people can easliy back him down...horry and duncan could easily block a shot

Its cuz Tony P did'nt have a good shooting game, and manu only took five shots, and the spurs played great defense, or u could say that portland was a jump shooting team through out the game, even when Duncan was not in the game they continued to hit jump shot...

Two important things you said in there, first of all i dont know what shoot blocker means, then the other word you said in there explains alot....
