I could have gone to the Lakers vs Blazers game tonight, but the tickets were in the upper level. I decided to watch the game in my favorite sports bar instead.

No. I turn down offers to go to games about 15 times a season. I hate the live NBA experience the majority of the time.
The arenas are loud, percussive and usually brightly lit. The they distract you with during timeouts and haltime is laughable. Nothing makes me feel like a dumb American more than some of the they throw at you to supposedly keep you entertained.
If I wanted to watch games in a noisy fluorescent glow, surrounded by a bunch of my fellow sloppy citizens I'd set up a TV in my laundry room, turn on the dryer and invite the neighbors.
No thanks, I'll take my ten games on league pass, my hdtv, my solitude and my comfortable as couch. Actually going to games is for the birds.
