Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich is featured in the film "Quantum Hoops", which is being played one night only on Thursday, April 10th, at the Alamo Drafthouse.
The film, directed by Rick Greenwald, is about the Caltech basketball team and their quest to end an epic 21-year losing streak (over 250 games). Popovich discusses what it was like to lose to Caltech in 1980 when he was coaching at Pomona-Pitzer. The game was one of only two Caltech victories in 35 years.
The do entary is narrated by actor David Duchovny, who played basketball at Princeton. The movie has been ranked by rottentomatoes.com as one of the greatest basketball movies of all-time.
