James White!
come on !
and play instead of whom?
No thank you on Ian this year, but I wrote elsewhere, possibly the other thread with this suggestion, if Ian continues to develop he'll give Shaq/Amare fits. Maybe this is a bad comparison, but he reminds me of a young McDyess or a less potent Amare.
I can see Spurs calling Mahinmi up soon.
Toros end their regular season on Saturday and should have some time off before the D-League playoffs. If Manu, Barry and Horry are still out, Mahinmi will have an active roster spot open for him.
Toros have also some new players, so it's possible that Spurs rather let Mahinmi in Austin to practice and give Toros more chances to win in playoffs.
I'd like to hear how Ian looks in practice with the Spurs--that's sorta of an in between barometer between D-League and pro games.
Oberto for a few games, what would it hurt????
exactly BRING HIM UP/BRING HIM UP.
DAMMIT.
Play a guy who can't stay out of foul trouble in the d league, for your most clutch big man?
Great moves!!!
I hate to say this but I told you so... (see my signature)
Yes, lets beat that now dissapeared horse some more.
How is Oberto clutch?? For making a wide open lay ups??? GREAAAT!!!
Go rewatch the 07 playoffs again sir.
Mahinmi is a worthwhile prospect but he wouldn't help the Spurs right now at all. Right now, Francisco Elson > Ian Mahinmi.
Wow thats gonna hurt em![]()
Ian could be your Landry but...then again, Scola coulda been your ummm Scola. The perfect player next to Tim Duncan.
Not now but Pop damn well better be looking to get him into the mix next year.
I would definately bring Ian up. His PER and rebounding are unbelievable. I believe his PER was higher than Landry's in the preseason.
if he's on the 15-man roster, sitting on the bench in the playoffs for such a young guy would be an education.
Mahinmi MIGHT, play in the game against Utah, but doubtfull.
If Horry and Barry are out for the playoffs, it seems like he should be on the roster.
The Toros' regular season ends Saturday. Ian might be called up for a game or so, but it's difficult to see the Spurs' keeping him out of the D-League playoffs whenever they end up being scheduled. They are currently carrying only nine players including Ian.
I'm extraordinarily biased, and I don't know if it's the right time or not, but the Spurs could use some shot blocking and rebounding, so what the ? If he's in position to deliver a foul that puts him a step ahead of Elson right there. Send him after the offensive boards, send him to the front of the rim when Timmy's doubled and let him block shots.
Man you are a dumbass!
Shutup already fatboy!
