jinxing like that..
I'm not seeing it, but I would think that we would hear something if Manu was hurting...right?
Ankle...groin...then he did that crazy dunk and was supposedly limping some...
So, anyone to quiet my fears?
ankle and groin injury so early in the playoffs worry me
I can now see why Pop is pulling out every trick in the book to end this series as quickly as possible. Groin injuries need time to heal, see Grant Hill.
AFAIK, his groin injury is OK. He tweaked his ankle a bit in game one, but it was good enough to score 29 on in game 2, and there will be 72 hours between gms 2 and 3.
Manu is a ing warrior. If he kept playing when Shawn Marion clawed his ing eye out of the socket last year, he's not going to sit down with almost anything.
yeah...but how effective can he be?
Well he sounds like he's still injured from his article and from that Ludden article. They didn't mention anything on the news other than he sat out of practice today. He did manage to still drive to the basket the other night and score 29 points so I think he'll be ok. I just hope that he can still be effective.
AFAIK, there's nothing, injury wise, new after game 1. He scored 29 in game 2, and shot MUCH better from outside.
How effective was he in game 2?
Yeah he did say the ankle tweak aggravated the groin a little bit. But like you said he's a ing warrior. I don't see him quiting at any point in this series. And the TV friendly schedule right now is giving him enough time to rest between games that he's just going to get better as the series progresses.
So I'm not too worried about Manu. He seems able to play through it. And if we can turn this into a sweep he might be able to rest up some more.
Reason enough to send the Suns![]()
he said that it bothered him so we'll see on friday
But he scored 29....
Think about it...
yeah with two days rest
combined with Manu's compe iveness, come on, if he's scoring 29 after scoring 24 hurt, it means given two more days of rest and 33 minutes of playing time, he could be in better shape on Friday. Plus the boos might energize him.
Please don't start a thread with Manu-injured during the playoffs please. My heart cannot take the scare.
Thanks.
let's just hope that no one gets hurt and that's that.
Go spurs go
It is a mortal sin to use the names Manu Ginobili and Grant Hill in the same sentence. For shame.
This is all-the-more reason to make this series a quick sweep. I predict it if we win Friday, as I will be at the Sunday game! Good luck SPURS!
The excuses...
