The Spurs rested the whole regular season and they were able to flip the switch in Game 1. Rest is much preferred right now.
Let's say Spurs close the Suns in 4. (But I think it will be in 5)
They can get a good rest before meeting NO or Dallas.
On the other hand, we could lose some of the momentum.
A rested team at home (if we play Dallas), or a "momentumed" team on the road (if we get the Hornettes) would be perfect situations.
What do you think?

I'd take the rest anyday of the week, specially with Manu injured.
Manu is really banged up supposedly, they need rest more than anything. I hope tomorrow is the end but i think the Suns are going to come out with pride and fight.
It's pretty obvious that Manu's not quite right yet. Pop was careful to limit him to 28 minutes last game.
Spurs are old. They need rest.
Pop has always preferred rest that's why the Spurs last season closed out every series the first chance they got. i don't think Pop would change that.
Prior years I would have preferred momentum... this year, I want some rest for our players.
4-5 days would be the optimal amount of time, IMO.
I like rest for this team. Playoffs are hard on the mind and the body. I have no doubt that they'll play even better with a few days to heal.

Rest is better for the aging Spurs. This is a veteran team and is so mentally tough it will not get carried away with the "momentum" stuff. It needs to heal physically. Manu's ankle. Robert's knee. Brent's calf. Heck, Duncan's rib after getting slam by Shaq...
Manu needs rest. Barry needs rest. Horry needs rest. Tony needs rest. If the Hornets win the series, the Spurs have two opportunities to steal HCA right off the bat. Rest absolutely. The last time the Spurs had a long layoff in the postseason they swept their opponent.
I'll settle for winning the damned series, first!!
Whether the Spurs advance tomorrow or not, I think this series erased any doubts that they were in any kind of late season funk. The team sanbagged during some of those late season games, no question. I would prefer Dallas in the next round simply because Tony hasn't lost to Jason Kidd since we tried to trade for him, and you gotta expect Tony would put the guy to shame on the biggest stage. The Hornets are a scary team but Pop has outcoached Byron Scott before and Tony likes being put on the same stage as a flashier, younger PG superstar. Either way I think Tony is huge next series, no matter who we play.
Just to play devil's advocate, the Spurs have played one decent game in a row so far, and the only reason it worked out so well is because they hit a LOT of outside shots that might not be considered high percentage if they aren't going in. I still have a lot of doubt, but the Spurs coming out and playing 48 minutes of good basketball 12 hours from now will go a long way toward making that doubt go away.
