Thought it was worth starting a new thread so as to not complicate the other one.
FACT.
1. The Chicago Bulls will make the playoffs.
Why not? It's the East, and more than half of them make the Playoffs, so odds are in their favor. FACT.
2. Flip Saunders will be the coach of the Twolves next year
90% of the teams in the league would have fired him by now, but I think McHale will stick with him and retool next year. FACT.
3. Larry Brown will be the coach of the Pistons next year.
FICTION. His term is up... on to the Knickerbockers.
4. Ron Artest will play for the Pacers next year.
FACT. They will try to trade him, but he won't attract anything of value.
5. Luis Scola will play for the Spurs next year.
I think he'll be on the roster... don't know if he'll play. FACT.
5. Brent Barry will perform well in the playoffs.
FICTION. Call me a cynic... I've grown to distrust Spurs shooters in the postseason.
6. Tony Parker will average > 17 points and > 6 assists in games played the rest of the season.
FICTION. As Parker's game receives more national attention, defenses will shift their focus to him, and his numbers will probably suffer.
7. Jason Kidd will finish the year on a team other than the Nets.
FICTION. Kidd + Carter + Jefferson + Lottery pick? Too enticing to pass up.
8. LeBron James will be All-NBA First team this year.
FICTION. Second team behind Nash and Wade. Not that he doesn't deserve it.
9. The Phoenix Suns will make it to the WCF.
FICTION. Not ready for Prime Time.
10. The Washington Wizards will make it past the first round of the playoffs.
Doubtful. They will probably have the fourth or fifth seed and face either Detroit, Cleveland or Indy. I don't like their chances against any of those teams. FICTION.
