On Fox News Channel, you're free to speak about the coronation of George W... unless you've got the nerve to criticize Dear Leader.
Then you get a Fox News MeltdownTM

Okay, I broke my rule...I un-ignored Nbadanallah just so I could see to what nonsense he could possibly be referring in his subject line...
I watched the entire clip and never saw anyone "meltdown." I was looking for a Lawrence O'Donnell moment and I got a respectful exchange between two people who obviously disagree over the propriety, cost, and appropriateness of the inauguration.
The Fox lady (I don't know who she is or whether she's classified as a commentator, reporter, or otherwise), never raised her voice -- even though she admitted to be caught off guard by the Judy lady's remarks.
And, further, I'll note, the Judy person hasn't a clue about the up-armoring of vehicles in the Iraqi theater. Also, and I would have love to have seen her address this point, what would she have the private businesses, mostly small (I don't think Halliburton was involved in the inaugural festivities), that earn a living off such celebrations in the Washington D.C. area do? Send the 40 million they were paid (in private dollars) to Iraq and go bankrupt?
The lady was an idiot and was given far more air time than she deserved...A lot different than when Lawrence O'Donnel actually melted down and went on a tirade for over 3 minutes, across a commercial break, on a show moderated by Pat Buchanan about the Swiftboat Veterans...
If you want to see an actual televised meltdown, Nbadanallah, pull up that piece of television history.
Okay, you're back on ignore now...you're still as clueless as a rock.
TIME TO PULL OUT THE TANKS AND MISSILES...

Sorry, you're too late Nbadanallah, you're on ignore and, because of the totally lame post through which you were able to trick me into abandoning that rule -- momentarily -- I doubt you'll ever be off my ignore list again.
I know, I know, you're devastated...
Anyway, since we're talking about the inauguration and all, I was particularly struck by the President's message when he said:
This is arguably the most ambitious policy any American president has ever put forth. And it's sure to be met with cynicism in some quarters:
I believe the answer to his doubters comes from an unlikely source:
Anybody care to guess who it is that said this in apparent concert with the President's inaugural message?"Today, as an old order passes, the new world is more free but less stable. Communism's collapse has called forth old animosities and new dangers. Clearly America must continue to lead the world we did so much to make."
"While America rebuilds at home, we will not shrink from the challenges, nor fail to seize the opportunities, of this new world. Together with our friends and allies, we will work to shape change, lest it engulf us."
"When our vital interests are challenged, or the will and conscience of the international community is defied, we will act--with peaceful diplomacy when ever possible, with force when necessary. The brave Americans serving our nation today in the Persian Gulf, in Somalia, and wherever else they stand are testament to our resolve."
"But our greatest strength is the power of our ideas, which are still new in many lands. Across the world, we see them embraced--and we rejoice. Our hopes, our hearts, our hands, are with those on every continent who are building democracy and freedom. Their cause is America's cause."
Ignore the Yonivore sounds good to me.
Funny how those who put others on ignore still can't seem to ignore.
Personally, I though that the exchange was funny and it shocked the host. She had a rough time recovering and the commentator planned it that way. And I'm not reading into it any further than that.
Only a dumbass like Nbadan would find fault with that picture. Gimme a king size bed, Jenna, Barbara, and a bottle of jack, and I'll see you in two days.
Looks like I could park my Yukon in that mouth..

Eh, keep it fun. Not every topic has to be cerebral. In fact, if you've seen that GON has posted in the thread, you can bet it's probably not.Great minds discuss ideas

It was a one time slip...trust me, it won't happen again. And, McBragg, feel free to ignore me...I can probably count on one hand, this post included, the number of times you had anything to say that was of interest to me.
And then, tx3rdcoastborn placed himself in category 3 with his own signature...
the bush family is no longer allowed to yawn or they will be criticized! what will be next... god help them if they fart!
God help us all!
Yeah, especially if they went out to eat while at Rummy's old place in Taos. Those chiles will just tear you up. We can't allow the Bush family to release hydrocarbons that destroy the ozone layer in such a pristine mountain environment.
I'm going to start a pe ion.
