Disabled teen accused of assault by wheelchair
The story is from the Denver area, where Joshua Martinez, who has a form of cerebral palsy, is accused of running over another student's toe with his electric wheelchair. The police said Martinez had been taking corners too fast in the chair. He's being charged with assault, battery and reckless endangerment. Snip:
The female student told the school nurse Martinez ran over her foot and her family wants to press charges.
Martinez says he does not remember the incident.
Witnesses told Aurora Police that Martinez drives his wheelchair very fast and bumps into people. He also sometimes rides up on two wheels. "

Sometimes I think the disabled persons who use those scooter things at the stores have some kind of "aisle rage". Once at Walmart, there was a woman just mowing people down, not giving a care. She was mean and rude when anyone said anything to her.
