I noticed that as well. Collins angling for jobs on the air...nice.![]()
Was he auditioning for D'Antoni's job or something? That was abysmal. His entire commentary consisted of how the Suns were doing or what Phoenix needed to do.
I haven't been so pissed off listening to a national broadcaster since Tommy Heinsohn used to do the games for CBS in the 80s.

Doug Collins cries when he talks wayyyyy tooo much.
Too bad you can't watch FSN. However watching that channel is nerve racking, because Sean is the ultimate homer. He's basically feeling what I'm feeling, but reitering it 10 x more because he commentating on it.
Agreed he is a great color man but was he biased tonight. He wanted to suck Nash's i felt he was begging the Suns to win that game.
doug collins sucks he couldnt even win with jordan nuff said
It was horrible to listen to. I'm used to biased calls, League Pass will do that to you. But I felt this was too extreme for a national broadcast. I know it won't matter but I'm thinking about writing to TNT to let them know that one-sided calls aren't appreciated when they're supposed to be neutral.
I don't want to be a smart ass but commentators always angle their analysis in the underdog favor. They talk about what they need to do to get back in the game or get back in the series. If the spurs were in a 3-1 hole and were trailing it would've been the other way (remember against the mavs in 2006?)
Altough you might be right also that he was auditioning for a job![]()
I had my tv on mute most of the game
The only good the hiring of Collins does for Phoenix and its fans is the fact it removes him from the airwaves.
thank god i watched the game in a noisy bar and didn't have to hear that crap
They were plugging the Suns a lot even when we was up. Phoenix got so many things going their way with the refs and calls it's amazing we won honestly. Just shows true heart playing through that and winning.
His justification of Amare being in the restricted area and drawing an offensive foul on Duncan sounded fishy to me.
Who was he paired with? It couldn't have been worse than Collins and Costas, I'll tell you that.
Kevin Harlan. Who I like a lot, and who was his normal self. I think. I couldn't really tell because every time Collins talked, steam came out of my ears.
Collins and Costas together was like nails on a chalkboard.
Costas was a HORRIBLE basketball play by play guy.
