It sounded like Don Harris was recapping that Pop said it will be hard for Malone not to stay in LA and Brent Barry will be the backup 1, depending on Beno's development.

Harris is thinking that Pop is smokescreening everyone into believing that Malone isn't coming here, when everyone knows he is.

While Malone says he's made up his mind I don't think so. I think he's going to sit back, rehab, see how the first part of the season unfolds and then make his choice. Pick the team that's not the favorite but the one that is second choice of the pundits and that he thinks if he joins might well put them over the top. Then he announces he's joining that team, rides in on his white horse and saves the day. That would suit his ego.
