different times, different series.
I'm not sure if this has been brought up before but the past 4 times, since 2003, the Spurs lost game 1 in a series, the Spurs have gone on the win the series.
2003 - Spurs lost game 1 to Phoenix in the first round and lost game 1 to Dallas in the conference finals - Spurs went on to win both series.
2005 - Lost to Denver in game 1 in the first round, Spurs went on to win the series in 5 games.
2007 - Again, lost to Denver in game 1 of the first round, Spurs went on to win the series in 5 games.
Prior to 2003, (if I remember correctly) Spurs were 0-17 in playoff series in which the Spurs lost game 1.
In 2004 and 2006, Spurs won game 1 in the conference semifinals and both times lost the series.
Just a thought...won't matter if the Spurs lose the series against the Hornets.
different times, different series.
Yeah plus Denver has been since like..forever
well, to add some perspective. Spurs dropping a game to a ty coached Denver team during the playoffs, could potentially invalidate any meaning in the Hornets victory over the Spurs on Saturday, (given Spurs kick their asses tonight of course.)
Losing game 1 was the best thing that could happen to Spurs.
After winning easily vs Phoenix, this is the kick n the ass we needed.
Spurs are pissed off now; Byron Scott, be ready to eat your bling-bling.![]()
