This Mavs blog indicates the fans would like him back. I know SpursTalk has talked about bringing him to S.A. But with Mahinmi and Splitter joining Duncan (and Oberto and Thomsas?) next season, would Diop be joining an already crowded frontcourt?

Uh, no thanks. Ian has more athleticism and more potential, and Tiago is already a better player and he's never played an NBA minute. Just because he does a decent job defensively on Tim doesn't mean he's a fit here.

No thank you. Centers on this team? I want Zydrunas, Howard, or Millsap.

    This team needs another rim-protector.

    I'll take him over Oberto.

Actually, in my opinion, Diop would be a great pickup. I believe he would complement Duncan very well. Besides, he is a above average shot blocker and good help defender.

at the Millsap suggestion for a C... dude is 6'6" in two pairs of socks.

I would take Diop over Oberto. I dont think Ian will be ready at the beginning of next season.. especially not defensively... hes far too foul prone.

Kurt is a good man to man defender, but isnt really a shot blocking-protect the rim kind of guy. And even hes not certain of coming back.

I would take Diop over Oberto here... i grown out of Oberto... hes horrible on the defensive end... just horrible... and he is so soft around the rim... the only thing he has going for him is that he can get open under the basket and finish lay ups form Tim.. and he can pass a bit.
