San Antonio Spurs guard Bruce Bowen last night made 4 three points baskets and become 16. most 3points made player of NBA play off history. Bruce Bowen reached 151 career play off 3 points baskets.
Bruce Bowen passed Michael Jordan. Jordan has 148 play off threes.

you could have done that, too.
Just for completeness, from basketball-reference.com (the asterisks mean HoF player).
BTW, look who's about to pass Jordan next.

I know Jordan wasn't much of a three point shooter, but I'm a little surprised that with all the shots he took in his career and the amount of playoffs games palyed he's so low in this ranking, I mean J-Kidd has more three's than MJ, that's crazy, and Manu is going to pass him in only 6 seasons.
Tim Duncan is only 144 behind him.
A better stat might be the number of 3's made per the number attempted.
I don't remember MJ attempting a lot of threes.
Congrats, Bruce!
Add a bunch more playoff 3s in 2008!
I'm surprised that I don't see Larry Bird on that list.
Although the 3-point shot wasn't as prevalent during the 80's.
Horry only needs 61 to pass up Reggie to be the all time leader in that stat. He made one last night. I doubt he gets near Reggie's numbers, but being #2 is awesome.
I don't see that happening.
Larry Bird had 80 Playoff 3-pointers in 249 attempts.
I hope you're not trying to imply Jordan wasn't a great 3-point shooter. During his peak years he hit 39%, 39%, 39%, 37%, 40%, before dropping off to 19% and 30%.
By comparison, Manu has had only one playoff year where he's hit as high as 39%.
MJ simply played in an era where the 3-pointer wasn't used as much. Plus the shot was not a huge weapon of his.
Michael relied more on his ability to drive into the lane and his fade away more than his 3-pt shot.
oh, i love jordan.![]()
If you're talking to me, when I said that MJ wasn't much of a three point shooter I meant that he didn't used to attempt a lot 3's.

nice
MJ could hit the 3 point shot but he didn't go for it often. MJ was smart in the sense he would try to go for the easiest shot possible and the 3 point shot was the last option in his arsenal. The first arsenal was taking it to the hole, the next one after that was the midrange shot, then after that it was the fadeaway, and then was the 3 point shot.
To me it's more impressive that he will pass Sam Perkins next game.
