    Tim Duncan
After a few weeks of struggling, Duncan finally responded with a huge game against the Phoenix Suns. His 43 minutes were a season-high. He scored 30 points, his highest output since Dec. 11, and also pulled down a season-high 19 rebounds. To round out his line, he dished out three assists, blocked three shots and recorded two steals. Duncan’s play, especially in the fourth quarter and in overtime, was near perfection.
    GRADE: 94

    SEASON: 86.3

    Bruce Bowen
Bowen had one of his worst games of the season. When he was on the floor, the Suns literally didn’t guard him at times. That forced the Spurs into near impossible possessions on the offensive end. Despite being left wide open, Bowen was 0-for-7 from the field. Although he was active on the defensive end of the court, he couldn’t make up for his lack of offensive production.
    GRADE: 64

    SEASON: 84.8

    Rasho Nesterovic
Nesterovic suffered what appeared to be a serious ankle injury when he landed on Shawn Marion’s foot after scoring a basket. It is unknown at this point how long he’ll be out, but he’ll probably be sidelined for a minimum of two weeks. The Spurs will probably activate Sean Marks from the injured list, a seven-foot center from New Zealand. In his 12 minutes on the court, Nesterovic scored six points on 3-for-5 shooting from the field.

    Manu Ginobili
Amazing! What more can you say about Ginobili’s performance against the Suns? It was a game that will always be remembered and Ginobili’s performance will go down as one of the franchise’s all-time greats. He scored 48 points, pulled down five rebounds, handed out six assists and swiped a steal, while shooting 16-for-22 from the field, 5-for-7 from beyond the arc and 11-for-12 from the free throw line.
    GRADE: 100
    JANUARY: 87.8
    SEASON: 88

    Tony Parker
The Spurs needed Parker to have a big game against the Suns. Unfortunately, Parker was no where to be found. He had two points on 1-for-9 shooting from the field, while doing a poor job of running the offense. The Spurs can’t afford for their starting point guard to lay eggs in big games. However, to Parker’s credit, it is reported that he is currently suffering flu-like symptoms. Hopefully that explains the poor outing.
    GRADE: 64
    JANUARY: 85.2
    SEASON: 86

    Brent Barry
With Barry’s performance against the Suns, Spurs fans can now rest assured that they have a clutch shooter on their side. Barry hit three big three-pointers late in the fourth quarter and in overtime to help the Spurs pull out the victory. At points in the game he was hesitant with his shot, but when it mattered most he calmly drained the open looks. For the game, he finished with 16 points and hit 4-of-6 threes.
    GRADE: 96
    JANUARY: 85.8
    SEASON: 83.1

    Beno Udrih
With Parker missing in action, Udrih stepped up and played spectacularly. His calm and collected play really helped the Spurs come back from the 17-point hole they found themselves in the fourth quarter. Udrih ran the team with ease and setup a lot of open looks for teammates. His defense on Steve Nash was impressive, as he really got into him and forced him to drive the ball.
    GRADE: 92
    JANUARY: 85.2
    SEASON: 84.6

    Devin Brown
If you just looked at his stats, you wouldn’t think that Brown had a very good game. But it was his ability to play the power forward position that made it possible for the Spurs to match up with the Suns. Brown also had a couple huge shots and rebounds down the stretch to help seal the victory. For the game, he finished with seven points, five rebounds and four assists.
    GRADE: 90
    JANUARY: 83.1
    SEASON: 84.3

    Malik Rose
With Horry missing the game due to injury and Nesterovic going down with an injury of his own, Rose was called upon to play some extra minutes. He responded with six points, seven rebounds and two steals in 20 minutes. The Spurs will no doubt call his number more with the injuries to the frontcourt. Rose needs to respond with energy, especially on the defensive and offensive boards.

No one can really question these grades!

(Would have been fun to add one Sun: Amare - amazing offensive skill, albeit when Nash is feeding him, and sometimes defensive skill = 92 - 10 big ones for demonstrating a singular lack of class with freakish pushup demo than CLANKING two critical FTs = 82)

Anyway, outstanding and yes Manu deserved a 100 = no grade inflation there. Thanks for the feedback re Tony and possible viral symptoms. (Also, his stats prehaps somewhat mildly deflated by not playing entire 4th - he is the type to errupt but it was Manu's day!)

Actually, I think Malik's grade can be questionable ... His defense was really bad, I counted atleast 3-4 3pointers they made because Malik wasn't paying attention to who the ball was passed to, but then he stepped it up a little bit before Pop pulled him out. I'd say and 82, maybe an 84, but not higher.

Yeah those grades were good imo but i think Tim Duncan's preformance should be rated as at least a 96, what more can we ask from him than 30 and 20?

I think tp's could have been higher 70

    the spurs struggled in 3
that is when he was tired from flu
had 5 assist so his outing will not hurt him as much in his assist

Beno got a 100 in that game where he had 10 assists and no TO's...I want to say it was against Denver or someone like that.

How is it 2nd best just because he got a 100 1st?

Manu's performance was 10x more impressive.

The second best does not refer to the performance, it refers to getting a grade of 100.

Slovenia>Argentina when it comes to getting grades of 100 first from TimVP.

You guys that root with a national interest are funny. I see plenty of reasons to go to war over this...

This is true but then something is screwed up since we have 4-9 times as many opportunities to get grades of 100 and we have none.

I think it is a Slovene/Argie plot and TimVP is being bought...
