Now that Lakers beat Utah shooting 231 Free Throws (to Utah's 172) (A Whopping 59 AT)

How important was that 1 loss we got in the regular season both NO and Spurs?

Staples is a tough arena for road teams.

Both NO and Spurs will start on the Road in the media darling city of Los Angeles especially with the touch foul king Kobe Bryant there .

I know we got a game 7 but im speaking for both teams NO and Spurs.

To think back, remember the game NO lost in LA to lose the Western Conference at end of the season, they had the HCA up until the last 3 games of the season. sucks for them.

    Your Thoughts....

    I disagree.

Compared to NO, Utah, GS, etc., Staples Center is a much
easier place to play in. Even Phil mentioned (before the
end of the season) that he doesn't feel there's more
advantage being at home. But LA will probably
get more calls in their favor at Staples though.

The Spurs would dispose of the Fakeshow (yes I'm resorting to lame name changing insults) in 6 games.

Don't you have to worry about a Game 7 on the road before even considering playing the Lakers?

    Pathetic fools!

Come on man, Utah went to the intentional foul card in three of those games to try and catch up. Just tonight alone that was an additional 8-10 attempts.

The series would have been over in five games if they called the travel on Deron Williams (and it was obvious) at the end of regulation in Game 4. That was the most obvious bad call of the series and it won a game for the Jazz.

in series, the lakers shot close to 30 FT attempts per game

True, but Utah fouls a lot. They led the league in fouls this year and were hacking Kobe pretty obviously every time he drove the ball. And drive it he did, right down their throat.

I have respect for Utah, they play hard and subscribe to the theory that if you foul every possession, eventually the refs will stop calling them.

They had no business even stretching the Lakers to 6 on talent alone, but Sloan is a great coach and a maniac and Deron Williams might be the best PG in the league today (and yes, I know Chris Paul is a PG)
